Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji motif dan tuntutan dalam pembelajaran berbasis komputer di pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD), khususnya bagaimana sekolah merespons tekanan eksternal dan bagaimana anak membentuk motif belajarnya dalam konteks digital. Studi dilakukan di KB/TK Islam Al Ikhlas dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran komputer di PAUD muncul sebagai respon terhadap perubahan sosial, penyesuaian kurikulum, dan harapan orang tua terhadap pentingnya literasi digital. Sekolah mengintegrasikan komputer ke dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler dengan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru melalui metode demonstrasi dan latihan terbimbing. Guru berperan aktif dalam memberikan struktur belajar yang jelas, namun tetap memperhatikan kebutuhan individual anak. Motif belajar anak terbentuk melalui pengalaman menyenangkan, partisipasi aktif, dan eksplorasi media digital yang dirancang secara tematik. Meskipun bersifat teacher-centered, pembelajaran tetap memberi ruang bagi anak untuk memilih aktivitas digital sesuai minatnya. Pembelajaran komputer di PAUD terbukti bukan sekadar respons terhadap tuntutan eksternal, tetapi juga berperan dalam membangun keterlibatan belajar yang bermakna dan kontekstual bagi anak usia dini. ***** This study aims to examine the motives and demands in computer-based learning within early childhood education (ECE), particularly how schools respond to external pressures and how children develop their learning motives in a digital context. The research was conducted at KB/TK Islam Al Ikhlas using a qualitative approach through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that computer-based learning in ECE emerges as a response to social changes, curriculum adjustments, and parents’ expectations regarding the importance of digital literacy. The school integrates computers into intracurricular activities using a teacher-centered approach through demonstration and guided practice. Teachers play an active role in providing clear learning structures while simultaneously attending to children’s individual needs. Children’s learning motives are shaped through enjoyable experiences, active participation, and thematic exploration of digital media. Although predominantly teacher-centered, the learning process still provides space for children to choose digital activities according to their interests. Thus, computer-based learning in ECE is not merely a response to external demands but also contributes to fostering meaningful and contextual learning engagement for young children
