Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana interaksi sosial antar teman sebaya di kelas berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan student well-being sekolah dasar. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi sosial, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam terhadap siswa dan guru kelas IV di SDN Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa interaksi sosial yang terjadi meliputi aktivitas sehari-hari sebagai wahana interaksi, dukungan emosional yang tercipta melalui kedekatan teman sebaya, kegiatan belajar bersama sebagai bentuk interaksi produktif, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan kolektif. Selain itu, ditemukan juga persepsi siswa yaitu kebahagiaan, pembelajaran dan pengembangan, dukungan emosional, rasa aman dan diterima, serta inisiatif dan kepemimpinan menjadi lima dimensi yang memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan student well-being di sekolah. Faktor pendukung meliputi kehangatan dan rasa saling percaya, budaya saling membantu dalam akademik, kesempatan berinteraksi di waktu santai, keterlibatan dalam aktivitas kolektif, serta dukungan guru dan fasilitas sekolah. Namun, hambatan seperti ejekan, pengabaian, konflik, persaingan tidak sehat, sikap acuh dan kurangnya pengawasan guru juga ditemukan dan dapat mengganggu student well-being jika tidak ditangani. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas interaksi sosial sebaya berperan penting dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang sehat secara sosial dan emosional. Oleh karena itu, strategi pendidikan yang menumbuhkan relasi sosial positif perlu diperkuat di sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: interaksi sosial, teman sebaya, student well-being, sekolah dasar **** This study aims to examine how peer social interactions in the classroom contribute to the development of student well-being in elementary school. Using qualitative methods with a social phenomenology approach, data were collected through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with fourth-grade students and teachers at SDN Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi. The findings indicate that the social interactions that occur include daily activities as a means of interaction, emotional support created through closeness with peers, collaborative learning activities as a form of productive interaction, and student involvement in collective activities. In addition, student perceptions were also found to be five dimensions of happiness, learning and development, emotional support, a sense of security and acceptance, and initiative and leadership that contribute to the development of student well-being in school. Supporting factors include warmth and mutual trust, a culture of mutual assistance in academics, opportunities for interaction during leisure time, involvement in collective activities, and teacher support and school facilities. However, obstacles such as teasing, neglect, conflict, unhealthy competition, indifference, and lack of teacher supervision were also found and can disrupt student well-being if not addressed. This study confirms that the quality of peer social interactions plays a crucial role in creating a socially and emotionally healthy learning environment. Therefore, educational strategies that foster positive social relations need to be strengthened in elementary schools.
