Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan broadcasting terhadap peningkatan pemahaman kepenyiaran pada pengurus Educational Radio Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Latar belakang penelitian ini berawal dari rendahnya pengetahuan teknis dan kepercayaan diri pengurus dalam menjalankan siaran, terutama pada aspek teknik vokal, intonasi, dan kemampuan bridging. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan pelatihan yang dirancang untuk memperkuat kemampuan penyiaran sekaligus meningkatkan profesionalitas pengurus dalam mengelola media kampus sebagai sarana pembelajaran dan informasi edukatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah mixed methods melalui pretest–posttest, wawancara, dan observasi untuk mengukur perubahan kemampuan peserta secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepenyiaran setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Peserta menjadi lebih percaya diri, mampu berbicara dengan intonasi yang baik, serta mengelola siaran secara profesional. Dengan demikian, pelatihan broadcasting terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi penyiaran mahasiswa dan dapat dijadikan model pelatihan serupa di lingkungan pendidikan nonformal. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of broadcasting training on improving broadcasting This study aims to determine the effect of broadcasting training on improving broadcasting comprehension among the management of Educational Radio at the State University of Jakarta. The background of this research stems from the low level of technical knowledge and self-confidence among the managers in conducting broadcasts, particularly in aspects of vocal technique, intonation, and bridging skills. To address this issue, a training program was implemented to strengthen broadcasting skills while enhancing the professionalism of the managers in operating campus media as a medium for learning and educational information. The method used was a mixed-methods approach through pretest–posttest, interviews, and observations to measure changes in participants’ abilities both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results show a significant improvement in broadcasting knowledge and skills after participating in the training. Participants became more confident, were able to speak with proper intonation, and managed broadcasts more professionally. Thus, broadcasting training has proven effective in improving students’ broadcasting competencies and can serve as a model for similar training programs in non-formal educational settings.
