Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan psikopragmatik tindak tutur pujian serta menganalisis bentuk, fungsi, dan efek perlokusi yang muncul dalam interaksi antara guru dan siswa kelas VIII SMP N.izamia Andalusia, Jakarta. Pendekatan yang digunakan ialah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung dan analisis tuturan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas VIII E selama Juli hingga September 2025. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada aspek psikologis yang melatarbelakangi tindak tutur pujian serta dampaknya terhadap hubungan interpersonal dan moti.vasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian m.enunjukkan empat bentuk utama tindak tutur pujian, yaitu pujian terhadap kemampuan (51 tuturan), kepribadian (29 tuturan), kepemilikan benda (6 tuturan), dan penampilan (5 tuturan). Fungsi yang dominan adalah sebagai evaluasi positif (66 tuturan), diikuti oleh ekspresi solidaritas (47 tuturan), pelecehan verbal ringan dalam konteks humor (17 tuturan), dan ekspresi rasa iri (3 tuturan). Dari perspektif psikopragmatik, pujian tidak hanya berperan sebagai sarana ekspresi verbal, tetapi juga sebagai medium pembentukan emosi positif, motivasi, dan hubungan sosial yang harmonis. Efek perlokusi. yang muncul meliputi meningkatnya kepercayaan diri, motivasi belajar, dan penguatan nilai sosial seperti empati dan kerja sama. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan kajian psikopragmatik serta menjadi acuan bagi pendidik dalam menerapkan strategi komunikasi yang efektif, humanis, dan edukatif. Kata Kunci: psikopragmatik, tindak tutur pujian, perlokusi, komunikasi interpersonal, guru dan siswa. ***** This study aims to describe the psychopragmatic aspects of co.mpliment speech acts and to analyze their forms, functions, and perlocutionary effects in the interaction between teachers and students of Grade VIII at SMP Nizamia Andalusia, Jakarta. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data were collected through direct observation and analysis of utterances that occurred during the learning process in Class VIII E from July to September 2025. The focus of this study is directed toward the psychological dimensions underlying compliment speech acts and their influence on interpersonal relationships and students’ learning motivation. The findings reveal four main forms of compliment speech acts, namely compliments on ability (51 utterances), personality (29 utterances), possession (6 utterances), and appearance (5 utterances). The most dominant function is positive evaluation (66 utterances), followed by expressions of solidarity (47 utterances), mild verbal teasing in humorous contexts (17 utterances), and expressions of envy (3 utterances). From a psychopragmatic. perspective, compliment speech acts serve not only as verbal expressions but also as a medium for developing positive emotions, motivation, and harmonious social relationships. The perlocutionary effects include enhanced self-confidence, increased learning motivation, and reinforcement of social values such as empathy, mutual respect, and cooperation. This research is expected to contribute to the development of psychopragmatic studies and to serve as a reference for educators in applying effective, humanistic, and educational communication strategies within school environments.
