Abstract

LIMBAH RAMBUT MERUPAKAN SALAH SATU JENIS LIMBAH YANG SERING DIABAIKAN, MESKIPUN MEMILIKI POTENSI UNTUK DIMANFAATKAN. PENELITIAN INI BERTUJUAN UNTUK MENGEMBANGKAN VIDEO TUTORIAL CARA MEMANFAATKAN LIMBAH RAMBUT MENJADI AKSESORIS RAMBUT YANG LAYAK MENURUT AHLI MEDIA DAN AHLI MATERI. PENELITIAN INI MEMBERIKAN KONTRIBUSI TERHADAP PENGELOLAAN LIMBAH DAN MENCIPTAKAN PELUANG BARU DALAM INDUSTRI KECANTIKAN. PENELITIAN INI MENGGUNAKAN METODE R&D (RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT) DENGAN MODEL PENGEMBANGAN 4D. HASIL PADA PENGEMBANGAN VIDEO TUTORIAL INI DIUJI KELAYAKANNYA OLEH AHLI MATERI DAN AHLI MEDIA. HASIL KELAYAKAN YANG DILAKUKAN OLEH AHLI MATERI MENDAPATKAN NILAI PERSENTASE SEBESAR 94% YAITU SANGAT LAYAK DAN AHLI MEDIA 97% YAITU SANGAT LAYAK. KELAYAKAN PENGEMBANGAN VIDEO JUGA DILAKUKAN UJI PRAKTIKALITAS DAN UJI PRE-TEST & POST-TEST KEPADA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI KOSMETIK DAN PERAWATAN KECANTIKAN, DALAM UJI PRAKTIKALITAS INI MENDAPATKAN NILAI 94% DAN HASIL UJI EFEKTIFITAS SEBESAR 91,37% DENGAN HASIL PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN KOGNITIF MAHASISWA, YAITU HASIL PRE-TEST SEBESAR 42% MENJADI 95% DALAM POST-TEST. ***** Hair waste is a type of waste that is often overlooked, despite its potential for utilization. This study aims to develop a video tutorial on how to utilize hair waste into viable hair accessories according to assessments from media and content experts. This research contributes to waste management and creates new opportunities in the beauty industry. This study employs the R&D (Research and Development) method with a 4D development model. The results of the video tutorial development were evaluated for feasibility by content and media experts. The feasibility assessment by the content expert yielded a percentage score of 94%, indicating it is very feasible, while the media expert scored 97%, also indicating it is very feasible. The feasibility of developing the video was also assessed through practicality tests and pre-test & post-test evaluations with students from the Cosmetic and Beauty Care Study Program. In this practicality test, a score of 94% was achieved, and the effectiveness test result was 91.37%, indicating an improvement in students' cognitive understanding, with the pre-test result being 42% and the post-test result being 95%.
