Abstract

ABSTRAK Sri Widiyati. Pengaruh Problem Based Learning terhadap Berpikir Kritis Siswa pada Identifikasi Sifat Asam Basa menggunakan Indikator Fraksi Etanol Dari Ekstrak Kulit Manggis. Skripsi. Jakarta : Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia. Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Januari 2020. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap berpikir kritis siswa pada identifikasi sifat asam basa menggunakan indikator fraksi etanol dari ekstrak kulit manggis. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 42 Jakarta pada bulan April 2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah True Eksperimental dengan Post-test Only Control Group Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan teknik cluster random sampling dan dibagi menjadi 2 kelas, yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terdiri dari masing-masing 36 dan 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui instrumen tes uraian sebanyak 5 butir soal. Kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol yaitu 76.250% > 68.611%. Selain itu uji hipotesis yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t pada taraf nyata 5% dengan hasil 62,718>2.02, sehingga thitung > ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap berpikir kritis siswa pada identifikasi sifat asam basa menggunakan indikator fraksi etanol dari ekstrak kulit manggis Kata Kunci : Problem based learning, berpikir kritis, identifikasi sifat asam basa, kulit manggis fraksi etanol. The method used in this research is True Experimental with Post-test Only Control Group Design. The sampling technique with cluster random sampling technique and divided into 2 classes, namely the control class and the experimental class. Each class consists of 36 and 32 students. Data collection techniques were obtained through a 5 item test description instrument. The critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class is higher than the control class that is 76,250%> 68,611%. In addition, the hypothesis test is carried out using the t test at the 5% significance level. In the analysis of data with results 62,718> 2.02 so that t> t table then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a positive influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students' critical thinking on the identification of acid-base properties using ethanol fraction indicator from mangosteen peel extract Key word : Problem based learning, critical thinking, identification of acid-base properties, mangosteen peel fraction of ethanol.
