Abstract

Fenomena penundaan pernikahan yang terjadi pada keluarga fatherless mendorong pentingnya peningkatan kajian psikologis yang mempengaruhi kesiapan menikah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh attachment pada keluarga fatherless terhadap kesiapan menikah pada dewasa awal di Jakarta Pusat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode asosiatif dan melibatkan 96 responden yang memenuhi kriteria fatherless. Instrumen penelitian pada peneltitian ini berlandaskan pada teori Armsden dan Greenberg (1987) dalam skala Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) dan skala kesiapan menikah Blood (1962) dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat attachment responden berada pada kategori rendah, sedangkan kesiapan menikah berada pada kategori sedang. Analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara attachment dan kesiapan menikah (\beta = 0,511 p < 0,05). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas kelekatan berkontribusi terhadap kesiapan individu memasuki pernikahan. Kata kunci: attachment, dewasa awal, fatherless, kesiapan menikah ***** The phenomenon of delayed marriage among individuals from fatherless families highlights the importance of expanding psychological studies related to marital readiness. This study aims to examine the effect of attachment in fatherless families on marital readiness among early adults in Central Jakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative method and involved 96 respondents who met the criteria of being from fatherless families. The research instruments were based on the theory of Armsden and Greenberg (1987) using the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) scale and the marital readiness scale developed by Blood (1962), both measured using a Likert scale. The results showed that the respondents’ level of attachment was in the low category, while marital readiness was in the moderate category. Simple regression analysis indicated a positive and significant effect of attachment on marital readiness (β = 0.511, p < 0.05). These findings confirm that the quality of attachment contributes to individuals’ readiness to enter marriage. Keywords: attachment, fatherless, marital readiness, young adults
