Abstract

Laboratorium berperan strategis dalam pendidikan vokasi, khususnya dalam menjamin keabsahan hasil praktikum dan penelitian mahasiswa. Pengelolaan laboratorium pendidikan di tingkat perguruan tinggi umumnya belum banyak yang terstandarisasi secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kesesuaian kondisi aktual pengelolaan Laboratorium Uji Bahan UNJ ditinjau dari aspek persyaratan sumber daya, proses, dan sistem manajemen dalam ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Kajian teoritis didasarkan pada konsep manajemen laboratorium dalam ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui model analisis kesenjangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan laboran dan studi ketersediaan dokumen. Secara garis besar hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persyaratan sumber daya dan proses belum dilaksanakan secara optimal dalam pengelolaannya jika dibandingkan dengan prinsip ISO/IEC 17025:2017, sedangkan persyaratan sistem manajamen dalam penerapannya sangat lemah karena hampir keseluruhan indikator dalam penerapannya belum sesuai dengan ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Selain itu, laboratorium memiliki keterbatasan dalam hal administrasi khususnya pada dokumentasi rekaman teknis, prosedur dan lainnya. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa diperlukannya upaya perbaikan secara bertahap melalui penguatan dokumentasi dan penerapan sistem manajemen sebagai dasar pengembangan laboratorium akademik yang andal dan berstandarisasi internasional. However, the management of educational laboratories at the higher education level has generally not been optimally standardized. This study aims to assess the suitability of the actual conditions of the UNJ Material Testing Laboratory Management in terms of resource, processes, and management system requirements in ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The theoritical framework is grounded in laboratory management concepts as defined by ISO/IEC 17025:2017. This research employs a qualitative method using gap analysis model. Data collection was conducted through interviews with laboratory technicians and document availability studies. Overall, the result indicate that the resource and process requirements have not been optimally implemented when compared to the principles of ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Meanwhile, the implementation of the management system requirements remains very weak, as almost all indicators do not comply with ISO/IEC 17025:2017. In addition, the laboratory has limitations in terms of administration, particularly in the documentation of technical records, procedures etc.This study concludes that gradual improvement efforts are necessary through the strengthening of documentation and the implementation of a management system as a foundation for developing a reliable and internationally standardized academic laboratory.
