Abstract
Perkembangan industri kecantikan yang semakin dinamis mendorong meningkatnya kebutuhan akan perawatan diri, termasuk perawatan kuku sebagai bagian penting dalam menunjang penampilan dan kepercayaan diri. Nail art dua dimensi dengan teknik airbrush menjadi salah satu teknik yang banyak diminati karena mampu menghasilkan desain yang halus, presisi, dan profesional. Namun, hingga saat ini masih minim panduan teknis yang rinci dan terstruktur mengenai penggunaan teknik airbrush, khususnya bagi pemula. Kondisi ini diperkuat oleh hasil survei terhadap mahasiswa kosmetik dan perawatan kecantikan yang menunjukkan tingginya kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran berbasis video. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video tutorial nail art dua dimensi dengan teknik airbrush yang efektif dan terstruktur serta mengetahui respons pengguna pemula terhadap video tutorial tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menerapkan model pengembangan 4D, yang meliputi tahap Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Video tutorial yang dikembangkan memuat panduan teknis pembuatan tiga desain nail art dua dimensi populer, yaitu ombre, aura nails, dan blush nails, pada kuku palsu (artificial nail). Produk dikembangkan melalui proses validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, serta diuji pada mahasiswa Program Studi D4 Kosmetik dan Perawatan Kecantikan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa video tutorial memperoleh skor 92% dari ahli materi dan skor akhir 90% dari ahli media, yang keduanya termasuk kategori Sangat Layak. Uji praktikalitas pada kelompok kecil mahasiswa Program Studi D4 Kosmetik dan Perawatan Kecantikan memperoleh skor 93% dengan kategori Sangat Praktis.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video tutorial mudah dipahami, efektif meningkatkan pemahaman, serta layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pendukung. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan media pembelajaran di bidang kecantikan, khususnya nail art. Kata Kunci: nail art, teknik airbrush, video tutorial, model 4D, media pengembangan ***** The increasingly dynamic development of the beauty industry has led to a growing demand for personal care, including nail care as an important aspect of enhancing appearance and self-confidence. Two dimensional nail art using the airbrush technique is widely favored due to its ability to produce smooth, precise, and professional designs. However, there is still a lack of detailed and structured technical guidelines on the use of the airbrush technique, particularly for beginners. This condition is reinforced by the results of a survey among cosmetology and beauty care students, which indicates a high demand for videobased learning media. This study aims to develop an effective and structured twodimensional nail art video tutorial using the airbrush technique and to analyze beginner users’ responses to the developed tutorial. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model, which consists of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The developed video tutorial provides technical guidance for creating three popular two dimensional nail art designs ombre, aura nails, and blush nails on artificial nails. The product was developed through validation by subject-matter experts and media experts and was tested on students of the D4 Cosmetology and Beauty Care Study Program. The validation results showed that the video tutorial obtained a score of 92% from the subject-matter expert and a final score of 90% from the media expert, both categorized as Very Feasible. The practicality test conducted with a small group of students resulted in a score of 93%, categorized as Very Practical. The findings indicate that the video tutorial is easy to understand, effective in improving learners’ comprehension, and suitable for use as a supplementary learning medium. This study is expected to contribute to the development of instructional media in the beauty field, particularly in nail art.
