Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model sistem informasi manajemen surat berbasis web yang mampu mendukung fungsi manajemen pada surat secara efektif dan efisien di Fakultas Agama Islam dan Pendidikan Guru Universitas Djuanda (FAIPG UNIDA). Metode Research and Development (R&D) digunakan dalam menghasilkan produk berupa prototipe aplikasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen Surat dan Arsip Terintegrasi (SIMPATI). Prototipe dikembangkan oleh model Design Based Research (DBR) yang berfokus pada pengembangan desain. Data didapat melalui uji coba formatif dan uji kegunaan sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prototipe mampu mengintegrasikan proses pencatatan, pendisposisian hingga pengarsipan surat dalam satu platform. Uji kegunaan sistem menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) memperoleh nilai 78,93 yang artinya “Dapat diterima” dengan peringkat “Baik”. Model yang dikembangkan dapat dijadikan sebagai blueprint pengembangan sistem persuratan lebih lanjut bagi institusi. Adapun saran, agar pengembangan selanjutnya dapat melibatkan lingkup pengguna yang lebih luas, tidak hanya pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, tetapi juga mahasiswa. Kata kunci: Sistem informasi manajemen, Surat dinas, Website, Design Based Reseacrh. ***** This research aims to produce a web-based letter management information system model that is able to support the management function of official letters effectively and efficiently at the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education, Djuanda University (FAIPG UNIDA). The Research and Development (R&D) method is used in producing products in the form of a prototype application of the Integrated Letter and Archive Management Information System (SIMPATI). The prototype is developed by the Design Based Research (DBR) model which focuses on design development. The data can be obtained through formative tests and system usability tests. The results of the study show that the prototype is able to integrate the process of recording, disposing, and archiving letters in one platform. The usability test using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method obtained a score of 78.93 which means "Acceptable" with a rating "Good". The developed model can be used as a blueprint for the development of a further letter management system for institution. The research suggests that future system development should involve a wider range of users, not only educators and educational staff, but also students Keywords: Management information system, Official letter, Website, Design Based Reseacrh.
