Abstract
Minat melanjutkan studi merupakan faktor penting dalam menentukan keberlanjutan pendidikan siswa setelah menyelesaikan pendidikan menengah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan teman sebaya dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap minat melanjutkan studi siswa kelas XII SMAS Bakti Idhata Jakarta, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kausal, dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner skala Likert dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan teman sebaya berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat melanjutkan studi, sedangkan status sosial ekonomi orang tua tidak berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial. Namun, kedua variabel tersebut secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat melanjutkan studi siswa. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa lingkungan pergaulan teman sebaya yang positif dan suportif berperan penting dalam mendorong minat siswa untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang perguruan tinggi, serta memberikan implikasi teoretis dan praktis bagi pengembangan kajian pendidikan dan pembinaan siswa. ***** Students’ interest in continuing their studies is an important factor in determining the sustainability of education after completing secondary education. This study aims to analyze the influence of the peer environment and parents’ socioeconomic status on the interest in continuing studies among twelfth-grade students at SMAS Bakti Idhata Jakarta, both partially and simultaneously. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal research design, using data collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that the peer environment has a positive and significant effect on students’ interest in continuing their studies, while parents’ socioeconomic status does not have a significant partial effect. However, both variables simultaneously have a significant effect on students’ interest in continuing their studies. These findings suggest that a positive and supportive peer environment plays an important role in encouraging students to pursue higher education and provides both theoretical and practical implications for the development of educational studies and student guidance practices.
