Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara adiksi media sosial dengan konsentrasi belajar siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar di Kelurahan Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kelurahan Kebon Jeruk yang berjumlah 700 siswa. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 146 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria siswa aktif menggunakan media sosial. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket adiksi media sosial dan angket konsentrasi belajar siswa yang disusun berdasarkan skala Likert empat pilihan. Data dianalisis menggunakan bantuan Microsoft Excel melalui analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rank. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara adiksi media sosial dengan konsentrasi belajar siswa, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar rs = –0,93 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 1,77 × 10⁻⁶⁵ (< 0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat adiksi media sosial siswa, maka semakin rendah konsentrasi belajarnya. Oleh karena itu, pengelolaan penggunaan media sosial secara bijak perlu mendapat perhatian dari guru dan orang tua guna mendukung peningkatan konsentrasi belajar siswa. Kata kunci: adiksi media sosial, konsentrasi belajar, siswa sekolah dasar. ******************************************* This study aims to determine the relationship between social media addiction and the learning concentration of fifth-grade elementary school students in Kebon Jeruk Village, West Jakarta. This study used a quantitative method with correlational techniques. The study population was all fifth-grade elementary school students in Kebon Jeruk Village, totaling 700 students. The study sample consisted of 146 students determined using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of students actively using social media. Data collection was carried out using a social media addiction questionnaire and a student learning concentration questionnaire compiled based on a four-choice Likert scale. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel through descriptive analysis, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing. The results of the normality test showed that the data were not normally distributed, so hypothesis testing was carried out using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The analysis results showed that there was a very strong and significant negative relationship between social media addiction and student learning concentration, with a correlation coefficient value of rs = -0.93 and a significance value of 1.77 × 10⁻⁶⁵ (<0.05). These findings indicate that the higher a student's social media addiction, the lower their concentration in learning. Therefore, teachers and parents need to pay attention to wisely managing social media use to support improved student concentration.
