Tirza Irene Karinasari, 2026 “PENCARIAN IDENTITAS DIRI MELALUI PROSES PENDEWASAAN DALAM SENI RUPA ABSTRAK” skripsi penciptaan karya seni rupa, program studi Pendidikan Seni Rupa, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penciptaan karya seni rupa abstrak ini mengangkat tema pencarian identitas diri melalui proses pendewasaan sebagai bentuk refleksi terhadap pengalaman personal dan dinamika batin individu. Identitas diri dipahami sebagai sesuatu yang tidak terbentuk secara instan, melainkan melalui proses panjang yang melibatkan perenungan, konflik internal, serta penerimaan terhadap diri sendiri. Seni rupa abstrak dipilih sebagai medium ungkap karena mampu merepresentasikan pengalaman emosional dan psikologis yang bersifat subjektif serta sulit disampaikan secara verbal maupun representasional. Dalam metode ini, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi literatur, observasi, serta wawancara dengan narasumber ahli yang relevan dengan konteks penciptaan karya. Hasil dari penelitian dan wawancara tersebut kemudian dianalisis dan diolah menjadi landasan konseptual yang diterjemahkan ke dalam konsep visual. Proses penciptaan karya dilakukan melalui tahapan eksplorasi ide, pemilihan media dan teknik, serta pengolahan elemen visual seperti warna, bentuk, tekstur, dan komposisi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, penciptaan seni rupa abstrak dipilih sebagai medium ungkap karena mampu merepresentasikan pengalaman emosional dan psikologis yang bersifat subjektif dan tidak selalu dapat dijelaskan secara representasional. The creation of this abstract work of art raises the theme of the search for self-identity through the process of maturation as a reflection of personal experiences and the individual's inner dynamics. Self-identity is understood as something that is not formed instantly, but rather through a long process involving contemplation, internal conflict, and self-acceptance. Abstract art was chosen as the medium of expression because it is able to represent emotional and psychological experiences that are subjective and difficult to convey verbally or representationally. In this method, data collection was conducted through literature studies, observations, and interviews with expert sources relevant to the context of the work's creation. The results of the research and interviews were then analyzed and processed into a conceptual foundation that was translated into a visual concept. The creation process involved the stages of idea exploration, media and technique selection, and the processing of visual elements such as color, shape, texture, and composition. Based on the research findings, abstract art was chosen as a medium of expression because it can represent subjective emotional and psychological experiences that cannot always be explained through representational means.
