Abstract

Sastra merupakan bentuk ekspresi manusia yang diwujudkan melalui karya tulis maupun lisan. Dalam karya sastra, khususnya puisi, penggunaan majas memiliki peran penting dalam memperindah bahasa serta memperdalam makna. Majas merupakan gaya bahasa yang menggunakan ungkapan kiasan untuk menciptakan efek estetis dan imajinatif. Berdasarkan teori Faulseit dan Kühn, jenis majas meliputi Epitheton, Vergleich, Metapher, Metonymie, Personifizierung, Allegorie, dan Symbol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis majas yang terdapat dalam tiga puisi berjudul II, IX, dan X pada bagian Die Heimkehr dalam buku Buch der Lieder karya Heinrich Heine. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif-analitis. Data penelitian ini berupa larik-larik yang mengandung majas dalam tiga puisi karya Heinrich Heine, yang diperoleh melalui teknik baca dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 29 data yang mengandung majas dalam tiga puisi karya Heinrich Heine, yaitu 14 data Epitheton, 6 data Symbol, 6 data Personifizierung, dan 3 data Metapher. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa majas epitet (Epitheton) merupakan majas yang paling dominan ditemukan karena kata sifat yang melekat pada kata benda berfungsi untuk memperjelas gambaran visual dan memperindah deskripsi objek dalam puisi. Melalui epitet, Heine dapat menonjolkan ciri tertentu dari tokoh, suasana, maupun unsur alam. Penggunaan kata sifat tersebut membantu pembaca membayangkan objek yang digambarkan secara lebih jelas dan puitis. Sementara itu, majas alegori, metonimi, dan perbandingan tidak ditemukan pada tiga puisi karya Heinrich Heine tersebut. ***** Literature is a form of human expression manifested through written and spoken works. In literary works, particularly poetry, the use of figures of speech plays a crucial role in enhancing language and deepening meaning. Figures of speech are stylistic devices that employ figurative expressions to create aesthetic and imaginative effects. According to the theory of Faulseit and Kühn, types of figures of speech include Epitheton, Vergleich, Metaphor, Metonymy, Personification, Allegory, and Symbol. This study aims to identify the types of figures of speech found in three poems titled II, IX, and X in the section Die Heimkehr of the book Buch der Lieder by Heinrich Heine. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical method. The research data consists of lines containing figures of speech in the three poems by Heinrich Heine, obtained through the read-and-record technique. The results of the study show that there are 29 instances of figures of speech in three poems by Heinrich Heine, namely 14 instances of epithets, 6 instances of symbols, 6 instances of personification, and 3 instances of metaphors. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the epithet (Epitheton) is the most dominant figure of speech found because the adjective attached to the noun serves to clarify the visual image and beautify the description of the object in the poem. Through epithets, Heine is able to highlight specific characteristics of characters, atmospheres, and natural elements. The use of these adjectives helps readers visualize the described objects more clearly and poetically. Meanwhile, allegory, metonymy, and comparison were not found in these three poems by Heinrich Heine.
