Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) Jalur Tes berbasis Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) di SMA Labschool Jakarta yang ditinjau dari aspek perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan informan yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan yang didukung oleh triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi PPDB Jalur Tes berbasis Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) di SMA Labschool Jakarta telah berjalan secara sistematis, terstruktur, dan terintegrasi. Pada tahap perencanaan, sekolah menyusun kuota penerimaan, timeline kegiatan,penyesuaian butir soal tiga level (low, medium, high), SOP, infrastruktur teknologi, serta strategi sosialisasi berbasis multimedia. Pada tahap pengorganisasian, sekolah menerapkan sistem kerja terpusat, digitalisasi administrasi, dan kemitraan strategis. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, seluruh proses mulai dari pendaftaran hingga daftar ulang dilakukan melalui sistem digital yang terintegrasi. Pemanfaatan CAT menghasilkan data skoring dan ability measure berdasarkan metode Item Response Theory (IRT) yang memungkinkan pengukuran kemampuan peserta secara lebih akurat, efisien, dan paperless. Pada tahap evaluasi, sekolah melaksanakan evaluasi internal, evaluasi antar guru, dan evaluasi pra pelaksanaan yang menghasilkan berbagai perbaikan pada instrumen tes, sistem teknologi, layanan informasi, dan koordinasi kepanitiaan. Dengan demikian, implementasi CAT mampu mewujudkan proses seleksi yang lebih efektif, efisien, adaptif, objektif, dan akuntabel.Kata Kunci : PPDB, Tes Adaptif Berbasis Komputer, Pengukuran Kemampuan, tanpa kertas ***** This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) based New Student Admission (PPDB) process at SMA Labschool Jakarta, focusing on the aspects of planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data classification, and drawing conclusions supported by triangulation of sources. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) based admission process at SMA Labschool Jakarta has been carried out in a systematic, structured, and integrated manner. During the planning phase, the school established admission quotas, an activity timeline, three-level question difficulty adjustments (low, medium, high), standard operating procedures (SOP), technological infrastructure, and a multimedia-based outreach strategy. During the organizational phase, the school implemented a centralized workflow system, administrative digitization, and strategic partnerships. During the implementation phase, the entire process from registration to re-registration was conducted through an integrated digital system. The use of CAT generated scoring data and ability measures based on the Item Response Theory (IRT) method, enabling more accurate, efficient, and paperless assessment of participants abilities. In the evaluation phase, the school conducts internal evaluations, peer evaluations among teachers, and pre-implementation evaluations, resulting in various improvements to test instruments, technology systems, information services, and committee coordination. Thus, the implementation of CAT enables a more effective, efficient, adaptive, objective, and accountable selection process. Keywords: PPDB, Computer Adaptive Test (CAT), ability measure, paperless
