Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh penilaian produk busana anak dengan konsep modular design berdasarkan indikator dimensi kualitas produk dan prinsip desain. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan akan busana anak yang tidak hanya menarik secara estetis, tetapi juga memiliki fleksibilitas penggunaan sehingga dapat mendukung konsep keberlanjutan melalui pemanfaatan produk yang lebih optimal. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental, one-shot case study. Penelitian ini menghasilkan lima produk busana anak dengan konsep modular design yang dinilai menggunakan teori dimensi kualitas produk dan teori prinsip desain. Penilaian dilakukan oleh lima panelis menggunakan instrumen rating scale. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indikator dimensi kualitas produk memperoleh kategori sangat baik, dengan skor tertinggi pada aspek gaya (style) sebesar 83,6% karena produk memiliki karakter visual yang kuat melalui penerapan sumber inspirasi, kombinasi warna, bentuk, dan elemen desain yang selaras dengan Trend Forecast 2025/2026 Pop Playground. Indikator prinsip desain juga memperoleh kategori sangat baik, dengan skor tertinggi pada aspek keseimbangan (balance) sebesar 84% karena setiap desain menerapkan keseimbangan visual yang baik melalui pengaturan bentuk, garis, warna, dan komponen modular. Di antara kelima desain yang dikembangkan, desain 4 memperoleh nilai tertinggi, yaitu 87,3%, sehingga menunjukkan bahwa penerapan konsep modular design mampu menghasilkan produk busana anak yang berkualitas, estetis, dan memenuhi prinsip desain. ***** This study aimed to evaluate children's clothing products with a modular design concept based on the indicators of product quality dimensions and design principles. The study was motivated by the need for children's clothing that is not only aesthetically appealing but also flexible in use, thereby supporting sustainability through extended product utilization. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method with a pre-experimental, one-shot case study design. The study produced five children's clothing products incorporating the modular design concept, which were evaluated using the theories of product quality dimensions and design principles. The evaluation was conducted by five panelists using a rating scale instrument. The results showed that the product quality dimensions achieved a very good category, with the highest score in the style aspect of 83.6%. This result was attributed to the products' strong visual identity, reflected in the application of the design inspiration, color combinations, forms, and design elements aligned with the Trend Forecast 2025/2026 Pop Playground. The design principles also achieved a very good category, with the highest score in the balance aspect of 84% because each design demonstrated good visual balance through the arrangement of forms, lines, colors, and modular components. Among the five designs, Design 4 obtained the highest overall score of 87.3%, indicating that the implementation of the modular design concept can produce children's clothing that is functional, aesthetically appealing, and consistent with product quality dimensions and design principles.
