Abstract

Mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan video mengenai pengelolaan sampah terhadap pengetahuan murid kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Cibinong merupakan tujuan dari penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen. Sampel pada penelitian sebanyak 63 murid, terdiri dari murid kelas XI-9 sebagai kelompok kontrol dan sebagai kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas XI-8. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan random sampling. Pre-test dan post-test dengan 20 soal yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Sebelum uji hipotesis, data yang dikumpulkan diuji untuk homogenitas dan normalitas. Independent t-test, yang digunakan untuk uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,034, yang lebih rendah dari α = 0,05, dengan demikian, H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini didukung berdasarkan hasil analisis uji effect size menggunakan rumus Cohen’s d, diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,54. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media video pembelajaran pengelolaan sampah memberikan pengaruh dalam kategori sedang (medium effect) terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan murid kelas XI SMAN 1 Cibinong. ***** The goal of this study is to find out the effect of using videos about waste management on the knowledge of 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Cibinong. This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The sample in this study was 63 students, consisting of 11th-grade class XI-9 as the control group and class XI-8 as the experimental class. The sampling technique was done through random sampling. Pre-tests and post-tests with 20 questions that had passed validity and reliability tests were used as research instruments. Before testing the hypothesis, the collected data were tested for homogeneity and normality. The independent t-test used for hypothesis testing showed a significance value of 0.034, which is lower than α = 0.05, therefore, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This is supported by the results of the effect size analysis using Cohen’s d formula, which obtained a value of 0.54. This result shows that using waste management learning videos has a medium effect on increasing the knowledge of 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Cibinong.
