Abstract
***** Pulo Gadung District is the area with the highest frequency of fire incidents in East Jakarta in 2020-2024, with total losses reaching IDR 13.5 billion. The purpose of the study is to analyze the level of fire vulnerability of residential areas in Pulo Gadung District using a quantitative descriptive method based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The analysis techniques used are multiple ring buffers, network analysis, scoring, and overlay on nine parameters: building density, type of building materials, electricity network conditions, distance of main roads from residential areas, distance of residential areas from water sources, reach of hydrants, reach of fire stations, travel distance, and travel time. The analysis results show that of the 1,490.6 Ha of residential areas, low vulnerability covers the largest area at 775.5 Ha (52%), followed by moderate vulnerability at 690.5 Ha (46.3%), and high vulnerability at 24.9 Ha (1.7%). Kayu Putih and Rawamangun Subdistricts have the lowest vulnerability, while Jatinegara Kaum Sub-district has the largest area of high vulnerability. The results of this study are expected to contribute to fire disaster management in Pulo Gadung District
