Abstract

ABSTRAK Lingkaran hitam di bawah mata merupakan salah satu permasalahan estetika yang dapat memengaruhi penampilan wajah. Salah satu teknik tata rias yang digunakan untuk menyamarkan kondisi tersebut adalah pengaplikasian color corrector berwarna jingga yang berdasarkan teori warna berfungsi menetralkan rona kebiruan atau keunguan pada area bawah mata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan color corrector jingga terhadap hasil koreksi lingkaran hitam di bawah mata. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 10 wanita berusia 18–25 tahun yang memiliki vascular dark circles, yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Data diperoleh melalui penilaian panelis berdasarkan lima indikator, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene's Test, dan Independent Samples t-test dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor kelompok eksperimen sebesar 63,60, lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 51,80. Nilai signifikansi Independent Samples t-test sebesar 0,007 (p < 0,05) menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan color corrector jingga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil koreksi lingkaran hitam di bawah mata. Penggunaan color corrector jingga terbukti lebih efektif dalam menyamarkan lingkaran hitam sehingga menghasilkan tampilan bawah mata yang lebih cerah, warna kulit lebih merata, dan hasil riasan yang lebih natural. Kata kunci: color corrector jingga, lingkaran hitam di bawah mata, vascular dark circles, koreksi warna, tata rias wajah. ***** ABSTRACT Dark circles under the eyes are one of the aesthetic concerns that can affect facial appearance. One makeup technique commonly used to conceal this condition is the application of an orange color corrector, which, based on color theory, functions to neutralize bluish or purplish tones in the under-eye area. This study aimed to determine the effect of using an orange color corrector on the correction of dark circles under the eyes. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 10 women aged 18–25 years with vascular dark circles, who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through panelists' assessments based on five evaluation indicators and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Levene's Test for homogeneity, and the Independent Samples t-test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that the experimental group obtained a higher mean score (63.60) than the control group (51.80). The Independent Samples t-test yielded a significance value of 0.007 (p < 0.05), indicating that the use of an orange color corrector had a significant effect on the correction of dark circles under the eyes. The application of an orange color corrector proved to be more effective in concealing dark circles, resulting in a brighter under-eye area, a more even skin tone, and a more natural makeup finish..
