Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar menulis teks berita berbasis metode pencarian informasi melalui aplikasi Pewarta pada siswa kelas VII SMP, sekaligus menguji kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan efektivitasnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang meliputi tahap analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan terhadap pendidik dan murid di lima SMP Negeri di Jakarta dan Bekasi, sedangkan uji coba produk dilaksanakan pada murid kelas VII SMP Negeri 84 Jakarta. Hasil analisis kebutuhan menyatakan bahwa rendahnya kemampuan murid dalam menulis teks berita disebabkan oleh sulitnya menemukan informasi, menyusun unsur ADIKSIMBA, mengembangkan struktur berita, serta penggunaan bahan ajar yang masih sederhana dan kurang interaktif. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkan sebuah bahan ajar digital yang mengintegrasikan metode pencarian informasi agar murid lebih aktif mencari, mengolah, dan menyajikan informasi dalam bentuk teks berita. Sebelum diuji coba, bahan ajar ini diuji kelayakannya oleh ahli validator. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori layak dari segi materi (80%), sangat layak dari segi kebahasaan (92%), dan sangat layak dari segi media (86,7%). Uji efektivitas melalui paired sample t-test menunjukkan perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan bahan ajar, dengan nilai N-Gain pada kategori tinggi, sementara uji praktikalitas terhadap 34 murid dan 1 pendidik menunjukkan respons yang sangat baik terhadap kemudahan penggunaan dan daya tarik aplikasi. Dengan demikian, bahan ajar menulis teks berita berbasis metode pencarian informasi melalui aplikasi Pewarta terbukti valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita di kelas VII SMP. Kata kunci: bahan ajar digital, menulis teks berita, pencarian informasi, aplikasi Pewarta. *****This research aims to develop teaching materials for writing news texts based on the Information Search method thru the Pewarta application for seventh-grade junior high school students, while also testing their feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The needs analysis was conducted with educators and students at five public junior high schools in Jakarta and Bekasi, while the product trial was carried out with seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 84 Jakarta. The results of the needs analysis indicate that the students' low ability in writing news texts is due to the difficulty in finding information, organizing the ADIKSIMBA elements, developing the news structure, and the use of teaching materials that are still simple and less interactive. Therefore, a digital teaching material was developed that integrates the Information Search method so that students become more active in searching, processing, and presenting information in the form of news texts. Before being tested, this teaching material was evaluated for its feasibility by expert validators. The results of the expert validation indicate that the developed teaching materials fall into the acceptable category in terms of content (80%), very acceptable in terms of language (92%), and very acceptable in terms of media (86.7%). The effectiveness test thru a paired sample t-test shows a significant difference in learning outcomes before and after the use of the teaching materials, with an N-Gain value in the high category, while the practicality test involving 34 students and 1 educator shows a very good response to the ease of use and appeal of the application. Thus, the teaching materials for writing news texts based on the Information Search method thru the Pewarta application have proven to be valid, practical, and effective for use in teaching news text writing in seventh-grade junior high school classes.
