Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh stres finansial terhadap keberhasilan akademik mahasiswa penerima beasiswa KJMU/KIP Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan desain regresi linear sederhana. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 249 mahasiswa penerima beasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah APR Financial Stress Scale untuk mengukur stres finansial dan Academic Success Inventory for College Students (ASICS) untuk mengukur keberhasilan akademik. Analisis data dilakukan melalui statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor stres finansial sebesar 69,88, sedangkan rata-rata skor keberhasilan akademik sebesar 69,36. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa stres finansial berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap keberhasilan akademik mahasiswa penerima beasiswa KJMU/KIP Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Jakarta dengan koefisien regresi sebesar -0,467 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05). Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,233 menunjukkan bahwa stres finansial memberikan kontribusi sebesar 23,3% terhadap keberhasilan akademik, sedangkan 76,7% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi stres finansial yang dialami mahasiswa, maka semakin rendah keberhasilan akademiknya. *****This study aims to examine the effect of financial stress on academic performance among KJMU/KIP scholarship students at the Faculty of Education, University State Of Jakarta. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey method and a simple linear regression design. The sample consisted of 249 scholarship students selected using convenience sampling. The instruments used were the APR Financial Stress Scale to measure financial stress and the Academic Success Inventory for College Students (ASICS) to measure academic performance. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality testing, linearity testing, and hypothesis testing through simple linear regression. The results showed that the mean score of financial stress was 69.88, while the mean score of academic performance was 69.36. The hypothesis testing indicated that financial stress had a negative and significant effect on academic performance among KJMU/KIP scholarship students at the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, with a regression coefficient of -0.467 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.233 indicated that financial stress contributed 23.3% to academic performance, while the remaining 76.7% was influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings suggest that the higher the financial stress experienced by students, the lower their academic performance tends to be.
