Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pelatihan parenting dan tingkat pendidikan terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu dengan anak usia 4-5 tahun di PAUD non formal Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Metode penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan treatment by level 2x2, sampel 34 orang ibu, menggunakan instrumen kemampuan berkomunikasi. Pelatihan parenting strategi problem based learning (PBL) dan experiential learning (EL) dilaksanakan sesuai sintaks pelatihan masing-masing 8 (delapan) kali pertemuan @ 90 menit selama 2 (dua) bulan. Tingkat pendidikan tinggi yakni SMA ke atas, dan tingkat pendidikan rendah yakni SMP ke bawah (SMP, SD dan tidak sekolah). Tehnik analisa data menggunakan ANOVA dengan uji F pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu peserta pelatihan parenting strategi PBL dibanding EL. Hasil analisis varians 2x2 Fhitung 18,76 > Ftabel 4,17 pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05. Nilai rata-rata skor kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu peserta pelatihan parenting strategi PBL x̅ 224,56 lebih tinggi dibanding EL x̅ 217,3. Artinya kemampuan berkomunikasi peserta pelatihan parenting strategi PBL (A1) lebih tinggi daripada EL (A2); 2) Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu berpendidikan tinggi dibanding ibu berpendidikan rendah. Hasil analisis varians 2x2 Fhitung 8,552 > Ftabel 4,17 pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05. Nilai rata-rata skor kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu berpendidikan tinggi x̅ 223,32 lebih tinggi daripada ibu berpendidikan rendah x̅ 218,40. Artinya kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu berpendidikan tinggi (B1) lebih tinggi daripada ibu berpendidikan rendah (B2); 3) Terdapat pengaruh interaksi yang signifikan antara strategi pelatihan parenting dan tingkat pendidikan terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu. Hasil analisis varians 2x2 Fhitung 43,683 > Ftabel 4,17 pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05; 4) Terdapat perbedaan signifikan kemampuan berkomunikasi peserta pelatihan parenting strategi PBL, antara ibu berpendidikan tinggi dan ibu berpendidikan rendah. Hasil uji lanjut T-Dunnet menunjukkan bahwa thitung 6,30 > ttabel 2,042 pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05. Skor rata-rata kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu berpendidikan tinggi peserta pelatihan parenting strategi PBL (A1B1) x̅ 229,67 dan skor rata-rata kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu berpendidikan tinggi peserta pelatihan parenting strategi EL (A2B1) x̅ 212,43. Artinya untuk ibu berpendidikan tinggi kemampuan berkomunikasinya akan lebih tinggi jika mengikuti pelatihan parenting strategi PBL daripada EL; 5) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu peserta pelatihan parenting strategi EL, antara ibu berpendidikan tinggi dan ibu berpendidikan rendah. Hasil uji lanjut T-Dunnet menunjukkan bahwa thitung 2,64 > ttabel 2,042 pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05. Skor rata-rata kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu berpendidikan rendah peserta pelatihan parenting strategi PBL (A1B2) x̅ 214,33 dan skor rata-rata kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu berpendidikan rendah peserta pelatihan parenting strategi EL (A2B2) x̅ 221,11. Artinya untuk ibu berpendidikan rendah kemampuan berkomunikasinya akan lebih tinggi jika mengikuti pelatihan parenting strategi EL daripada PBL. Disimpulkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi ibu dengan anak usia 4-5 tahun di Provinsi DKI Jakarta, strategi pelatihan parenting sebaiknya memperhatikan tingkat pendidikan ibu. Ibu yang berpendidikan tinggi lebih cocok mengikuti pelatihan parenting strategi PBL dan ibu berpendidikan rendah lebih cocok mengikuti pelatihan parenting strategi EL. ******* ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effect of parenting training strategies and education levels on the ability to communicate with mothers and children aged 4-5 years in non-formal PAUD in DKI Jakarta Province. Experimental research method with 2x2 treatment by level design, a sample of 34 mothers, using communication skills instruments. Parenting problem based learning (PBL) and experiential learning (EL) training was carried out according to the training syntax of 8 (eight) meetings @ 90 minutes each for 2 (two) months. The level of education is high, namely high school and above, and the level of education is low, namely junior high school (junior high, elementary and not school). Data analysis techniques used ANOVA with the F test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that: 1) There is a significant difference between the communication skills of mothers participating in PBL strategy parenting training compared to EL. The results of the analysis of variance 2x2 Fcount 18.76 > Ftable 4.17 at the significance level α = 0.05. The average score of the communication skills scores of mothers participating in the PBL strategy parenting training x̅ 224.56 is higher than EL x̅ 217.3. This means that the communication skills of PBL (A1) parenting strategy participants are higher than EL (A2); 2) There is a significant difference between the communication skills of highly educated mothers compared to mothers of low education. The results of the analysis of variance 2x2 Fcount 8.552 > Ftable 4.17 at the significance level α = 0.05. The average score of communication ability scores of highly educated mothers x̅ 223.32 is higher than mothers of low educated x̅ 218.40. This means that the communication skills of highly educated mothers (B1) are higher than those of low educated mothers (B2); 3) There is a significant interaction effect between parenting training strategies and education level on mothers communication skills. The results of the analysis of variance 2x2 Fcount 43.683 > Ftable 4.17 at the significance level α = 0.05; 4) There is a significant difference in the communication skills of PBL strategy parenting trainees, between mothers with high education and women with low education. The mean score of communication skills of low educated mothers training participants in PBL strategy parenting (A1B2) x̅ 214.33 and the average score of communication skills of low educated mothers training participants in parenting strategy EL (A2B2) x̅ 221.11. This means that for women with low education the communication ability will be higher if they take EL strategy parenting training than PBL. It was concluded that to improve the ability to communicate with mothers and children aged 4-5 years in DKI Jakarta Province, parenting training strategies should pay attention to the level of mother's education. Mothers with higher education are better suited to take part in PBL strategy parenting training and mothers with low education are better suited to take part in EL parenting strategy training.
