Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan model literasi membaca permulaan siswa Sekolah Dasar berdasarkan latar belakang pendidikan. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan desain model Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Hasil penelitian menemukan model literasi membaca permulaan siswa bersifat hirarkis, yaitu pengetahuan alfabet, kesadaran fonemik, kesadaran fonologi, fluensi dan pemahaman membaca. Siswa yang berlatar pendidikan PAUD sudah menguasai kesadaran fonologi dibanding siswa NONPAUD ketika masuk SD. Hal ini karena tuntutan orangtua dan tingginya tujuan membaca di SD sehingga PAUD membelajarkan membaca. Model literasi tersebut diperoleh melalui: 1) pembelajaran literasi membaca permulaan menggunakan kurikulum 2013, media kartu kata dan gambar, materi belajar yang bersifat tematik, penggunaan strategi fonik dan whole language, dan penilaian sesuai tujuan pembelajaran (membaca pemahaman), 2) peran keterlibatan orangtua melalui parenting helping, komunikasi yang efektif, relawan/organisator & partisipator, pembelajaran di rumah, pengambilan keputusan, 3) bimbingan belajar yang mengacu pada tujuan perbaikan, pengayaan, dan motivasi siswa dalam membaca, strategi penggunaaan fonik dan whole languange, media belajar visual dan materi kurikulum 2013. Keterbaruan dari penelitian ini, yaitu menemukan model hirarkis literasi membaca permulaan anak-anak, siswa yang sudah mampu menghubungkan bunyi bisa langsung menguasai pemahaman bacaan mestipun tidak fluensi, menemukan pergeseran orientasi tujuan literasi membaca di PAUD yang tidak sesuai dengan aturan/kurikulum pemerintah karena tuntutan orangtua dan tingginya tujuan literasi membaca di SD. Rekomendasi penelitian ini, yaitu perlu dikembangkan kebijakan kurikulum literasi membaca permulaan yang jelas dan berjenjang antara literasi membaca di PAUD dan Sekolah Dasar. The aims of this research to find out the literacy model of students’ reading at elementary school based on education background. The research used qualitative method with a phenomenology design. Data collection use interview, observation, questioner and documentation. Data analysis uses the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis moel (IPA).The results of this findings show that students’ reading literacy was hirarcy, namely alphabetical knowledge, phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, fluency and comprehension. The students from PAUD/Kindergarteen have been mastered reading on phonological awareness than they have not or from home. This is caused of the parents’ claim and high purpose in learning to read at elementary school so that PAUD taught reading. The model found of : 1) reading literacy instruction based on Curriculum 2013, picture or word chart, tematic integrated material, phonic and whole language instruction, and evaluation based on comprehension, 2) parents’ involevement in developing their children with giving parenting helping, effective communicating, volunteering, learning at home, decision making, 3) learning guiding focused on the purpose of remedial teaching, enrictment, and students’ motivation, used whole and phonics instruction strategy, viasual media and curriculum 2013. The novelty of this research found the hirarchy of beginning reading literacy, students who had mastered sound-correspondency but it did mastered fluency could achive comprehenshion, and displacement of literacy reading aims at PAUD that was unapropriate with the goverment curriculum. The base of change because of the parents’ claim and high purpose in learning to read at elementary school so that PAUD transformed taught reading literacy. The recommendation of this research is necessary to facilitate explicit and gradual policy between reading literacy at PAUD and elementary school.
