Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui humor dalam meme dengan tema Deutsch ist eine schwere Sprache yang diunggah pada situs 9GAG dengan kurun waktu tahun 2019 sampai April 2020. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini memiliki 10 data meme yang terdiri dari unsur verbal dan nonverbal. Data penelitian ini terdiri dari meme yang memiliki satu panel dan meme yang memiliki beberapa panel. Teori semiotik dari Peirce digunakan untuk menghubungkan unsur verbal dan nonverbal yang terdapat di dalam panel pada setiap meme dan juga menghubungkan antara panel satu dengan lainnya. Selanjutnya, hasil dari analisis semiotik dihubungkan dengan teori humor dari Berger. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa humor yang terdapat dalam meme adalah lelucon tentang sulitnya bahasa Jerman. Sulitnya bahasa Jerman digambarkan dengan penggunaan Artikel, kerumitan Grammatik dan keragaman kata. Cara penggambaran humor pada kesulitan penggunaan Artikel, yaitu dengan permainan kata dan pengambaran yang berlebihan melalui kata-kata. Sedangkan untuk kerumitan Grammatik cara penggambaran humor, yaitu dengan penggunaan kata kiasan dan juga penggambaran yang berlebihan melalui kata-kata. Untuk keragaman kata, humor digambarkan dengan cara permainan kata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa humor yang terdapat dalam meme dengan tema Deutsch ist eine schwere Sprache dibuat untuk menertawakan sulitnya bahasa Jerman berdasarkan beberapa faktor. Faktor yang pertama adalah Artikel karena dalam bahasa Jerman sering kali membuat orang yang mempelajarinya merasa kesulitan disebabkan aturan penggunaannya yang cukup banyak. Faktor kedua adalah Grammatik karena dalam bahasa Jerman terkenal dengan tingkat kerumitannya yang cukup tinggi sehingga orang yang mempelajarinya sering kali kebingungan dan takut akan kesalahan Grammatik. Faktor terakhir adalah keragaman kata karena dalam bahasa Jerman memiliki keragaman dan kemiripan sehingga banyak orang yang bingung dalam penggunaan kata yang tepat. Kata kunci: Humor, Meme, Deutsch ist eine schwere Sprache. ********************** This Study aims to determine the humor of meme with theme Deutsch ist eine schwere Sprache uploaded in 9GAG Website in the period 2019 to April 2020. This Study is a qualitative study with descriptive method. This Study has used 10 memes which have verbal and nonverbal element. The data consists of memes that have one panel and memes that have several panels. Semiotic theory from Peirce is used in this study to connect the verbal and nonverbal elements contained in the panels of each meme and also to connect the panels to one another. Furthermore, the result of the semiotic analysis is related to theory of humor from Berger. The result show that the humor contained in memes is a joke about the difficulty of German language. The difficulty of German language is explained by the use of aricles, the complexity of grammar and the variety of words. The way of explaining humor on the difficulty of using articles is by puns and exaggeration of words. Meanwhile, the way of explaining humor in grammatical complexities is by using figurative words and also and exaggeration of words. The way to explain humor in the variety of words is by using word plays. Based on the research results it can be concluded that the humor contained in the meme with the theme Deutsch ist eine schwere Sprache was made to laugh at the difficulty of German language based on several factors. The first factor is the article because in German language it often makes people who learn it feel difficult due to the many rules. The second factor is grammar because in German language grammar is known for its high level of complexity so that people who learn it are often confused and afraid of grammar mistakes. The last factor is the variety of words because in German language there are variety and similarities so that many people are confused about the use of the right word.
