Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa teknik permainan beatbox flute yang digunakan dalam komposisi Box dan memberikan informasi mengenai teknik beatbox dalam permainan flute. Fokus penelitian tertuju pada artikulasi dan tonguing yang digunakan dalam komposisi Box. Metode yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis. Data- data diperoleh melalui studi pustaka berupa partitur dan buku yang terkait, pengumpulan dokumentasi audio visual berupa video permainan komposisi Box melalui media internet. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Jakarta, dari bulan Maret 2019 – April 2020. Hasil penelitian ini menunujukan flute tidak lagi hanya dapat menghasilkan suara melodis, namun juga dapat menghasilkan permainan perkusif dengan warna suara yang lebih beragam. Teknik ini dinamakan teknik permainan beatbox flute. Dalam komposisi Box terdapat tujuh teknik artikulasi beatbox seperti, classic kick, closed k hi-hat, closed t hi-hat, meshed snare, open t hi-hat, shaker, dan classic inward snare. Teknik artikulasi dalam flute yang digunakan adalah aksen, legato, staccato, dan slur. Serta teknik tonguing yang digunakan dalam komposisi Box adalah single tonguing dan double tonguing. Penerapan artikulasi dan tonguing saling mempengaruhi dalam permainan beatbox flute untuk menghasilkan permainan melodi dan ritme yang jelas. Kata Kunci: Flute, Teknik Permainan Flute, Teknik Permainan Beatbox Flute ***************** This research aims to analysis the technique of beatbox flute in Box composition and to give the informations about beatbox flute technique. The focus of the research is how the articulation and tonguing used in Box composition. The method used by researcher is a qualitative descriptive research methode with a analysis approeach. The data obtained though literature studies in the form of notation and relevant books, also collecting audio-visual documentation in the form of performing Box composition through the internet. The research was conducted in Jakarta from March 2019 – April 2020. The result of this research show that the flute not only can produce melodic sounds, but also can produce percussive sounds with many sound colors. This techniques called the beatbox flute technique. In Box Composition, there are seven beatbox articulation techniques, such as classic kick, closed k hi-hat, closed t hi-hat, meshed snare, open t hi-hat, shaker, and classic inward snare. The flute articulation techniques are accent, legato, staccato, and slur. The tonguing techniques used in Box‟s composition are single tonguing and double tonguing. The application of articulation and tonguing influence each other in beatbox flute palying to produce clear melody and rhythm. Keyword: Flute, Flute Techniques, Beatbox Flute Techniques
