Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning between the two types of media, namely video and image media on learning outcomes passing under volleyball. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 4 Parungpanjang, Bogor in April and May in the even semester academic year 2014/2015. The method used is an experiment with two engineering group pretest-posttest design ". Samples in class VIII.I and VIII.III the number of students of each 30 people and Data Analysis Techniques using statistical tests - t. From the hypothesis testing results, obtained t value of 2.623 were tested with t table at significance level α = 0.05 and a degree of freedom (N1 + N2) -2 = 58 obtained t table of 1.671, which means the value of Ho is rejected if t count ≥ ttabel ,. Thus, it can be concluded that learning using video media is more effective when compared with images in increasing the skills of passing under volleyball in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Parungpanjang.
