Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran self disclosure remaja di SMP Negeri se-Jakarta Pusat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian survey yang bersifat deskriptif. Subyek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri se-Jakarta Pusat dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan jenis cluster sampling, sehingga sampel yang diambil sebanyak 392 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrument Jourard Self Disclosure Quesioner (JSDQ) yang disusun oleh Sidney M. Jourard, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Instrument untuk target ayah terdapat 57 butir pernyataan yang valid dengan reliabilitas 1,00. Instrument untuk target ibu terdapat 59 butir pernyataan yang valid dengan reliabilitas 0,99. Instrument untuk target teman laki-laki terdapat 57 butir pernyataan yang valid dengan reliabilitas 0,99. Instrument untuk target teman perempuan terdapat 58 butir pernyataan yang valid dengan reliabilitas 0,99. Instrument untuk target pasangan terdapat 58 butir pernyataan yang valid dengan reliabilitas 1,00. Instrument untuk target guru BK terdapat 58 butir pernyataan yang valid dengan reliabilitas 1. Gambaran self disclosure Remaja di SMP Negeri se-Jakarta Pusat untuk target ayah, ibu, teman laki-laki, dan teman perempuan berada pada kategori sedang artinya self disclosure remaja pada target keterbukaan diri tersebut relatif berjalan dengan baik. Sedangkan untuk target pasangan dan guru BK berada pada kategori rendah artinya self disclosure remaja kurang baik. Topik yang paling sering diungkapkan remaja pada target keterbukaan diri adalah topik selera dan ketertarikan, sedangkan untuk topik pendidikan dan keuangan remaja lebih terbuka kepada ayah dan ibunya dibandingkan dengan teman, pasangan, dan guru BK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja lebih terbuka dengan teman dan pada kelompok dari gender yang sama. The purpose of this research is to obtain an overview of adolescent self disclosure of state junior high school at throghout Central of Jakarta..The research method used is descriptive survey method. The subjects of this research is Junior High students from the Central of Jakarta with probability sampling technique also with cluster sampling technique, thus 392 samples were taken. Data collecting was done by using Jourard Self-Disclosure Questionnaire (JSDQ) Instrument, which was composed by Sidney M. Jourard, which reliability and validity. Instruments for dad target there are 57 valid statement items with reliability of 1.00. Instrument for mother target there are 59 items of valid statement with reliability 0,99. Instrument to target male companion there are 57 items of valid statement with reliability 0,99. Instrument to target female companion there are 58 items valid statement with reliability 0,99. Instrument for pair target there are 58 items of valid statement with reliability of 1.00. Instrument for counselor target there are 58 items valid statement with reliability 1. According to data analysis, the scheme of youth’s Self Disclosure in State Junior High School throughout central of Jakarta region specifically for the “Mother”,”Father”, “Boyfriend”, and “Girlfriend” target sections is located In the middle level, which means the Self Disclosure works just fine. Meanwhile for the “Spouse” and “Counselor” runs not too smooth, which means the Self Disclosure works not as good as the previous one. Most used topics on self disclosure is ecletic and attractiveness, while on education and money subject, teens are more open to their mom and dad compared to friends, spouse, and counselor. The results show that adolescents are more open with friends of the same gender.
