Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pembuatan asesoris kalung dan gelang dengan menggunakan cone benang yang terbuat dari plastik yang sudah tidak terpakai. Produk asesoris berbahan dasar cone ini akan dinilai berdasarkan teori produk dan teori estetika. Produk asesoris dinilai oleh 5 (lima) panelis ahli yang terdiri dari 2 (dua) desainer asesoris, 2 (dua) pengrajin asesoris dan 1 (satu) dosen ahli. Fokus penelitian ini adalah asesoris berbahan dasar cone benang dengan model kalung choker dan gelang bracelet. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Labolatorium Program Studi Tata Busana, pada semester ganjil tahun akademik 2014-2015. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Proses pembuatan produk asesoris dimulai dari tahap pemilihan, pengumpulan, pembuatan desain, pembuatan bentuk material kalung dan gelang, pengolahan, pewarnaan, perangkaian bahan utama dengan bahan pelengkap, sesuai dengan desain, hingga tahap penilaian asesoris oleh 5 (lima) panelis ahli. Dalam penelitian ini tahap proses sangat penting, mengingat dalam proses pembuatan asesoris ini akan mempengaruhi kualitas hasil akhir produk asesoris. Beberapa percobaan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, hanya cone benang jenis plastik yang dapat dengan mudah diolah menjadi bahan baku asesoris, cone benang jenis ini memiliki karakeristik cukup keras, kaku, kuat, daya tahan barang lama dan tidak mudah rusak. Kemudian model asesoris diperoleh bentuk geometric sesuai dengan trend dan karakteristik dari cone benang tersebut. Hasil penelitian terhadap penggunaan cone benang untuk bahan baku asesoris sudah bagus dan baik, dilihat dari segi teori produk dan teori unsur dan prinsip desain, seperti halnya penampilan, kenyamanan dan keamanan produk bila digunakan, hal ini dipaparkan oleh kelima panelis ahli. The focus of this research is based cone yarn accessories with necklace and bracelet models. The research was conducted in Laboratory Studies Program dressmaking, on odd semester academic year 2014-2015. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive method. The process of making a product accessories starting from the stage of selecting, collecting, design, manufacturing of material form of necklaces and bracelets, processing, coloring, the main ingredient enchaining with complementary materials, according to the design, to the assessment phase of accessories by five (5) expert panelists. In this study a stage of the process is very important, since in the process of making these accessories will affect the quality of the end product accessories. Some experiments conducted by researchers, only cone yarn type of plastic that can be easily processed into raw materials accessories, cone yarn of this type has characteristics quite hard, rigid, strong, long durability and not easily damaged. And then the geometric shape is obtained for models of accessories according to the trends and characteristics of the cone yarn. Result of research to using the cone yarn for raw materials accessories is great and good, in terms of product theory and the theory of elements and principles of design, as well as appearance, comfort and safety when used, it is presented by five expert panelists. In the implementation of the product creation process. The results of this research can create a product with low cost and produce a product with high economic value.
