Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan profil jenjang proses kognitif dari tugas menulis dalam buku teks bahasa Inggris berjudul “BSE Bahasa Inggris Kelas X Semester 1” bedasarkan taksonomi bloom revisi dimensi proses kognitif. Buku teks tersebut telah menjadi satu-satunya buku yang disahkan untuk mendukung implementasi Kurikulum 2013 (K-13). Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan analisis isi sebagai metode penelitian. Data penelitian ini terdiri dari 66 tugas menulis yang ditemukan di buku teks siswa, yang dipilih berdasarkan definisi operasional Hyland. Tabel dimensi proses kognitif BRT digunakan untuk mengkodifikasi data yang diperoleh dan analisis frekuensi sederhana kemudian diterapkan untuk menyimpulkan jawaban atas pertanyaan penelitian. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa proses kognitif paling dominan dari tugas menulis adalah "menerapkan" dengan 36,36%, dan tugas menulis di dalam buku teks didominasi dengan kemunculan tiga kategori berpikir tingkat rendah pada proses kognitif yaitu mengingat, memahami dan menerapkan. This study aims at obtaining a cognitive profile of the writing tasks in English textbook entitled BSE Bahasa Inggris Kelas X Semester 1 in terms of bloom’s revised taxonomy (BRT) cognitive process dimension. The textbook has been the single authorized one to support the 2013 National Curriculum 2013 (K- 13) implementation. This qualitative research employs content analysis as a method. The data comprises 66 writing tasks found in the student’s textbook, selected by means of Hyland’s operational definition. BRT cognitive process dimension table has been employed to codify the obtained data and simple frequency analysis is then applied to infer answers to the research questions. Findings reveal that the most prevalent cognitive process of writing tasks is “Apply” with 36.36%, and the writing tasks in the textbook dominantly present three categories of lower order thinking of cognitive process (remember, understand and apply)
