Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi telah mengubah cara berkomunikasi, termasuk dalam memperkenalkan lembaga atau organisasi. Video profil adalah alat komunikasi efektif yang memadukan unsur naratif dan sinematik untuk menyajikan informasi secara menarik untuk mempromosikan dan memperkenalkan keistimewaan suatu daerah. Dalam hal Badan Kebijakan Pembangunan Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia, video profil dapat memperkenalkan dan menjelaskan peran serta kontribusinya yang belum banyak diketahui masyarakat. Penelitian ini berfokus pada peran penulis skenario dan ditor dalam produksi video profil badan tersebut. Penulis memiliki tanggung jawab mengembangkan alur cerita yang informatif dan menarik, mencerminkan tugas dan fungsi lembaga yang diperkenalkan, sedangkan editor video memastikan elemen visual dan audio bekerja harmonis untuk menyampaikan pesan secara efektif. Video profil yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat menyampaikan pesan dengan cara yang hidup dan menarik, meningkatkan pemahaman, dan mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami kontribusi signifikan penulis skenario dalam membimbing aspek fondasi cerita video profil serta efektivitas editor dalam memastikan cerita disampaikan dengan cara yang paling efektif dan menarik. Secara akademis, laporan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam perkembangan ilmu komunikasi dan sinematografi, khususnya dalam pembuatan naskah dan penyuntingan video profil. Secara praktis, laporan ini merupakan persyaratan bagi penulis untuk lulus dan diharapkan dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi praktisi humas dan pihak terkait dalam pembuatan video profil. Dalam tinjauan teoritis peran penulis skenario dan produser dijelaskan secara rinci, termasuk tanggung jawab, tugas, dan keterampilan yang diperlukan. Video profil dianggap sebagai media yang efektif untuk menyampaikan informasi dengan menggabungkan berbagai elemen seperti gambar bergerak, dokumentasi, teks, dan diagram dengan suara dan latar belakang yang selaras, menciptakan video yang menarik dan informatif. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan pemahaman yang penting dalam menyampaikan informasi perusahaan kepada khalayak melalui video profil, terutama bagi Badan Kebijakan Pembangunan Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia. A video profile is an effective communication tool that combines narrative and cinematic elements to present information in an engaging manner to promote and introduce the uniqueness of a region. In the case of the Health Development Policy Agency of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, a video profile can introduce and explain its roles and contributions that are not widely known to the public. This research focuses on the roles of the scriptwriter and editor in the production of the agency's video profile. The scriptwriter is responsible for developing an informative and engaging storyline that reflects the tasks and functions of the introduced institution, while the video editor ensures that visual and audio elements work harmoniously to convey the message effectively. The resulting video profile is expected to deliver the message in a lively and engaging manner, enhance understanding, and encourage active participation from the public. The aim of this research is to understand the significant contribution of the scriptwriter in guiding the foundational aspects of the video profile's story as well as the effectiveness of the editor in ensuring the story is conveyed in the most effective and engaging way. Academically, this report is expected to contribute to the development of communication and cinematography sciences, particularly in scriptwriting and video editing for video profiles. Practically, this report is a requirement for the writer to graduate and is expected to inspire public relations practitioners and related parties in creating video profiles. In the theoretical review, the roles of the scriptwriter and producer are described in detail, including responsibilities, tasks, and necessary skills. The video profile is considered an effective medium for conveying information by combining various elements such as moving images, documentation, text, and diagrams with synchronized sound and background, creating an engaging and informative video. This research can provide important insights in delivering corporate information to the audience through video profiles, especially for the Health Development Policy Agency of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Keywords: Video Profile, Editor, Scriptwriter
