Abstract
Lemahnya kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia di dunia kerja merupakan salah satu masalah yang masih sangat pekat di Indonesia. Tingkat produktivitas yang lemah berdampak terhadap hasil pekerjaan yang mengakibatkan pemborosan sumber daya serta biaya, oleh karena itu hasil pekerjaan tidak akan maksimal dan perusahaan dapat mengalami kerugian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu pengaruh work-life balance dan employee engagement terhadap kinerja karyawan di Yayasan Pengembangan Potensi Sumber Daya Pertahanan. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui metode kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 129 dan menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan jenis simple random sampling. Pengujian dibantu dengan software SPSS 22 dengan hasil work-life balance berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan secara parsial. Begitu pula employee engagement berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan secara parsial. Sedangkan work-life balance dan employee engagement berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan secara simultan. Pada penelitian ini, indikator dengan mean tertinggi dari variabel kinerja karyawan adalah ketepatan waktu dan indikator dengan mean terendah adalah kemandirian. Sedangkan pada variabel work-life balance indikator dengan mean tertinggi adalah involvement balance atau keseimbangan keterlibatan dan indikator dengan mean terendah adalah satisfaction balance atau keseimbangan kepuasan. Indikator dengan mean tertinggi pada variabel employee engagement adalah dedication atau dedikasi dan indikator dengan mean terendah adalah absorption atau penghayatan. ***** The low quality of human resources in the workplace is a persistent problem in Indonesia. Low productivity negatively impacts work outcomes, resulting in wasted resources and costs, which in turn resulted in suboptimal outputs and potentially incurring losses for the company. This study aims to determine the influence of work-life balance and employee engagement on employee performance at the Defense Resources Potential Development Foundation. This study was conducted quantitatively, with a sample size of 129, using a probability sampling technique with simple random sampling type. The test, supported by SPSS 22 software, revealed that work-life balance had a positive and significant effect on employee performance partially. Similarly, employee engagement had a positive and significant effect on employee performance partially. Meanwhile, work-life balance and employee engagement had a positive and significant effect on employee performance simultaneously. In this study, the indicator with the highest mean for employee performance was punctuality, and the indicator with the lowest mean was independence. Meanwhile, for work-life balance, the indicator with the highest mean was involvement balance, and the indicator with the lowest mean was satisfaction balance. The indicator with the highest mean for employee engagement was dedication, and the indicator with the lowest mean was absorption.
