Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi picture this terhadap minat belajar siswa pada sub materi flora di Indonesia. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2024 di kelas XI SMAN 1 Jakarta dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design dalam bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling, dengan kelas XI-8 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 yang menggunakan media pembelajaran picture this, dan kelas XI-7 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 yang menggunakan google lens. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi selama proses pembelajaran dengan fokus pada empat indikator minat belajar, yaitu perasaan senang, ketertarikan, perhatian, dan keterlibatan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen 1 memperoleh rata-rata minat belajar sebesar 81,57% kategori sangat baik sekali, sedangkan kelas eksperimen 2 memperoleh 71,28% kategori sangat baik. Dengan selisih tertinggi ada pada indicator perasaan senang yang mana banyak peserta didik yang sudah mendownload dan mencoba aplikasi picture this dirumah dan pada sebelum materi menggunakan aplikasi tersebut dimualai. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran visual interaktif seperti picture this terbukti dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada materi distribusi flora di Indonesia.*****This study aims to analyze the influence of the picture this application on students' learning interest in the sub-topic of flora in Indonesia. The research was conducted in October 2024 in Grade XI of SMAN 1 Jakarta using a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The research design employed was a quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with class XI-8 as experimental class 1, which used the picture this learning media, and class xi-7 as experimental class 2, which used google lens. Data were collected through observation sheets during the learning process, focusing on four indicators of learning interest: enjoyment, curiosity, attention, and student engagement. The results showed that experimental class 1 achieved an average learning interest of 81.57%, categorized as very excellent, while experimental class 2 achieved 71.28%, categorized as excellent. The highest difference was found in the enjoyment indicator, where many students had already downloaded and tried the picture this application at home even before the lesson began. Thus, interactive visual learning media such as picture this has proven effective in increasing students' interest in learning about the distribution of flora in Indonesia.
