Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode Brainwriting berbantuan media Desygner terhadap keterampilan menulis teks iklan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 24 Kota Depok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen yang dirancang dalam bentuk pretestposttest Group Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 24 Depok, dengan sampel berupa dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII-C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-F sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan menulis teks iklan siswa. Nilai pretest tertinggi dan terendah pada kelas eksperimen memiliki selisih sebesar 26 poin. Begitu pula dengan pretest pada kelas kontrol yang memiliki selisih nilai sebesar 26 poin. Pada pelaksanaan posttest, kelas eksperimen memiliki selisih sebesar 17 poin. Sedangkan posttest pada kelas kontrol memiliki selisih sebesar 27poin dari nilai tertinggi dan terendah. Rata-rata nilai pretest kelas eksperimen adalah 45,1 meningkat menjadi 86,6 pada posttest dengan selisih 43,5 poin. Uji statistik menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0,05). Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan metode Brainwriting berbantuan media Desygner terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks iklan dan membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih aktif.Kata Kunci: Brainwriting, Keterampilan Menulis, Teks Iklan This study aims to analyze the effect of Brainwriting method assisted by Desygner media on the writing skills of advertising texts of 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 24 Depok City. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods designed in the form of pretest-posttest Group Design. The population in this study were students of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 24 Depok, with samples in the form of two classes, namely class VIII-C as the experimental class and class VIII-F as the control class. The results showed a significant improvement in students' advertising text writing skills. The highest and lowest pretest scores in the experimental class had a difference of 26 points. Similarly, the pretest in the control class had a difference of 26 points. In the posttest, the experimental class had a difference of 17 points. While the posttest in the control class had a difference of 27 points from the highest and lowest scores. The average pretest score of the experimental class was 45.1 increasing to 86.6 on the posttest with a difference of 43.5 points. Statistical tests showed a significant difference (p < 0.05). This proves that the use of Brainwriting method assisted by Desygner media proved to have a significant effect on improving advertising text writing skills and making learning more active.Keywords: Brainwriting, Writing Skills, Ad Text
