Abstract

Mutu akademik mahasiswa merupakan indikator utama keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan tinggi, khususnya pada fakultas keguruan yang berperan dalam menyiapkan calon pendidik profesional. Namun demikian, berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mutu akademik mahasiswa tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor kognitif, tetapi juga oleh faktor kepemimpinan dan pengalaman belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan melayani dan kepuasan belajar terhadap mutu akademik mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pakuan Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Pakuan Bogor, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 391 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis) untuk menguji pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung antarvariabel penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan melayani berpengaruh langsung positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu akademik mahasiswa (ρy1 = 0,429), kepuasan belajar berpengaruh langsung positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu akademik mahasiswa (ρy2 = 0,330), serta kepemimpinan melayani berpengaruh langsung positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan belajar mahasiswa (ρ21 = 0,779). Secara simultan, kepemimpinan melayani dan kepuasan belajar memberikan kontribusi sebesar 51,3% terhadap variasi mutu akademik mahasiswa, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar model penelitian. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan melayani memiliki peran strategis, baik secara langsung maupun melalui peningkatan kepuasan belajar, dalam meningkatkan mutu akademik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis berupa model integratif yang menghubungkan kepemimpinan melayani, kepuasan belajar, dan mutu akademik mahasiswa, serta implikasi praktis bagi pengelolaan pendidikan tinggi, khususnya dalam konteks fakultas keguruan. ********* Academic quality is a key indicator of the success of higher education, particularly in teacher education faculties that prepare prospective professional educators. However, previous studies indicate that students’ academic quality is influenced not only by cognitive factors but also by leadership practices and learning experiences. This study aims to analyze the effects of servant leadership and learning satisfaction on students’ academic quality at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Pakuan Bogor. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, with a sample of 391 students selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires. Path analysis was applied to examine the direct and indirect effects among the research variables. The results reveal that servant leadership has a direct positive and significant effect on students’ academic quality (ρy1 = 0.429), learning satisfaction has a direct positive and significant effect on academic quality (ρy2 = 0.330), and servant leadership has a direct positive and significant effect on learning satisfaction (ρ21 = 0.779). Simultaneously, servant leadership and learning satisfaction explain 51.3% of the variance in students’ academic quality, while the remaining 48.7% is influenced by other factors beyond the research model. These findings indicate that servant leadership plays a strategic role in improving students’ academic quality, both directly and indirectly through learning satisfaction. This study contributes theoretically by proposing an integrative model linking servant leadership, learning satisfaction, and academic quality, and provides practical implications for higher education management, particularly within teacher education contexts.
