Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan strategi komunikasi persuasif yang dilakukan oleh pengurus MATAN UNJ dalam mempromosikan Islam moderat mengenai tiga cirinya, yaitu tawazun (keberimbangan), tahadhdhur (beradab) dan tasamuh (toleransi) kepada para anggotanya, serta menganalisis efek dari strategi komunikasi persuasif tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan naratif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, dan observasi media sosial Instagram MATAN UNJ. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori strategi komunikasi persuasif Melvin L. De Fleur dan Sandra J. Ball Rokeach, yaitu: 1) The Psychodynamic Strategy, 2) The Sociocultural Strategy, 3) The Meaning Construction Strategy. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengurus MATAN UNJ mengimplementasikan: 1) The psychodynamic strategy dengan menggunakan strategi perekrutan anggota baru. 2) The sociocultural strategy dengan otoritas yang dimilikinya untuk mengontrol para anggota untuk berlaku sebagaimana identitas MATAN UNJ, sebagai organisasi yang menjunjung nilai Islam moderat. 3) The meaning construction strategy dengan memberikan teladan, contoh secara langsung dalam mengimplementasikan nilai tawazun, tahadhdhur dan tasamuh dalam kehidupan sosial beragama. Sedangkan efeknya kepada anggota dari pesan-pesan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa mereka adalah orang-orang yang sangat mengerti sekaligus mengimplementasikan sikap keberimbangan dalam urusan dunia dan juga akhirat, sangat menjunjung tinggi adab, kerukunan toleransi dan harmonisasi dalam pluralitas dan perbedaan. The purpose of this research is to describe a persuasive communication strategy conducted by the management of MATAN UNJ in promoting moderate Islam about its three pillars, namely Tawazun (balance), Tahadhdhur (civilized) and tasamuh (tolerance) to its members, as well as analyzing the effects of the persuasive communication strategy. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive narrative. Data collection through interviews, and observations of Instagram social media MATAN UNJ. The study uses persuasive theory of communication strategies Melvin L. De Fleur and Sandra J. Ball Rokeach, namely: 1) The Psychodynamic Strategy, 2) The Sociocultural Strategy, 3) The Meaning Construction Strategy. The research concluded that the management of MATAN Unj implemented: 1) The therapy strategy by using new member recruitment strategies. 2) The sociocultural strategy with its authority to control the members to apply as the identity of MATAN UNJ, as an organization that uphold the value of moderate Islam. 3) The meaning construction strategy by providing exemplary, direct examples in implementing the value of Tawazun, Tahadhdhur and tasamuh in religious social life. While the effect to the members of the messages shows that they are very understanding people while implementing an attitude of balance in the affairs of the World and also the hereafter, highly uphold the adab, harmony of tolerance and harmonization in plurality and difference.
