Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai organologi alat musik handpan yang dibuat oleh Daniv Veryana ditinjau dari proses pembuatannya. Dengan mempertimbangkan aspek-aspek yang ada, maka penelitian ini di fokuskan pada Organologi dilihat dari klasifikasi fisiknya yaitu, pertama Kriteria bahan baku / bahan dasar. Kedua, bentuk dan ukuran. Ketiga, bagian-bagian instrumen. Keempat, proses pembuatan. Kelima, proses tuning atau penyeteman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualiitatif dan berjenis deskriptif. Peneliti dalam hal ini melakukan observasi melalui video proses pembuatan yang dikirim langsung oleh narasumber Daniv Veryana, guna mengamati proses pembuatan Handpan, serta melalui studi pustaka dan studi dokumentasi guna mendapatkan data yang optimal dengan mendeskripsikan secara lengkap dan jelas mengenai hasil temuan. Hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah menunjukan bahwa tahapan proses pembuatan alat musik handpan diantaranya : Plat baja utuh, dipotong sesuai ukuran, dijepit ring, membentuk kubah utama (pembentukan), diberi cetakan untuk dimpel / dimple dan cetakan ding, pengerasan baja, proses tunning dan finishing . lalu alat yang digunakan pada proses pembuatan alat musik handpan diantaranya: palu berukuran besar, palu berukuran sedang, palu berukuran kecil yang semuanya dibungkus plastik dan karet, drum, ring, cetakan ding, cetakan dimpel / dimple, ear muff, gunting baja, clamp, kompor mawar, gas 3kg, dan gas kaleng las . Bahannya berupa baja berukuran 1mm dan lem baja. This study aims to describe the organology of the handpan musical instrument made by Daniv Veryana in terms of the manufacturing process. By considering the existing aspects, this research focuses on organology seen from its physical classification, namely, first the criteria for raw materials / basic materials. Second, shape and size. Third, the parts of the instrument. Fourth, the manufacturing process. Fifth, the tuning process or tuning. This research uses qualitative methods and descriptive type. Researchers in this case made observations through a video of the manufacturing process sent directly by resource person Daniv Veryana, in order to observe the process of making Handpan, as well as through literature and documentation studies in order to obtain optimal data by describing the findings completely and clearly. The results of the research obtained show that the stages of the process of making handpan musical instruments include: a complete steel plate, cut to size, clamped by a ring, forming the main dome (formation), given a mold to dimpel / dimple and ding mold, steel hardening, tunning and finishing processes . Then the tools used in the process of making handpan musical instruments include: large hammers, medium sized hammers, small hammers that are all wrapped in plastic and rubber, drums, rings, ding molds, dimpel / dimple molds, ear muffs, steel scissors, clamps, rose stove, 3kg gas, and gas canned welding. The material is 1mm steel and steel glue.
