Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui implementasi pendekatan saintifik dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sehingga diharapkan dapat diterapkan oleh para guru dalam melakukan proses pembelajaran IPA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu berupa kajian pustaka atau penelitian kepustakaan (Library Research) dengan cara mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data dari 9 sumber data berupa buku sekolah dasar kurikulum 2013, skripsi, jurnal dan artikel penelitian yang relevan dengan topik yang dikaji. Pengumpulan dan pengkajian data pada penelitian ini menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik sangat cocok untuk diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran IPA karena memiliki banyak keunggulan yang dapat membuat siswa memperoleh hasil belajar yang baik bahkan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Keunggulan dalam mengimplementasikan pendekatan saintifik yaitu mampu melatih kemampuan siswa dalam hal “tahu apa”, “tahu mengapa”, dan “tahu bagaimana” sehingga dapat mengembangkan rasa percaya diri, kekritisan pola pikir, dan kreativitas siswa. Pendekatan saintifik sangat sesuai dengan hakikat IPA sebagai sikap, proses, produk dan aplikasi karena dapat menumbuhkan sikap positif siswa dalam melakukan setiap usaha atau proses untuk memecahkan masalah IPA sehingga mampu menciptakan sebuah pengetahuan baru yang dapat direalisasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh sebab itu, implementasi pendekatan saintifik merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang sangat penting dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA. Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Saintifik, Hasil Belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam ************** The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of scientific approach in improving students learning outcomes which expected to be applied by teachers in the process of learning science. The type of this research is a literature review or library research (Library Research) by collecting and analyzing data from 9 data’s resource in the form of 2013 curriculum primary school books, thesis, journals and research articles which relevant to the topic. The collection and assessment of data in this research using the model of Miles and Huberman, named data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the scientific approach is very suitable to be implemented in learning science because it has many advantages that can make the students acquire the learning outcomes that are good even experiencing a significant increase. The Excellence in implementing the scientific approach is able to train the students ability in terms of “know what”, “know why”, and “know how” so that it can develop self-confidence, critical thinking, and creativity of the students. Scientific approach is very suitable with the essence of science as attitudes, processes, products and applications as it can improve positive attitude of the students on doing any effort or process to solve the problem of Science so the students are able to create a new knowledge that can be realized in daily life. Therefore, the implementation of scientific approach is a learning approach which is very important and effective to improve Science learning outcomes.
