Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh fenomena Indonesia sebagai negara mayoritas muslim yang sudah seharusnya memiliki nilai-nilai islami sehingga akan terbentuk karakter islami dalam masyarakat muslim dan keberagaman yang dimiliki Indonesia namun banyak sekali masyarakat Indonesia yang belum bisa menjaga keberagaman Indonesia dan identitas negaranya sebagai negara mayoritas muslim. Pendidikan dianggap mampu untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut melalui kurikulum sekolah. Sehingga tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan ialah untuk mengetahui srategi yang dilakukan sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan dalam membentuk siswa berkarakter islami dan berwawasan multikultural, kemudian faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat dalam pembentukkan karkater islami berwawasan multikultural. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Bakti Mulya 400. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan studi dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teori strategi, sekolah, karakter islami, dan pendidikan multikultural. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di SMA Bakti Mulya 400 menunjukkan bahwasanya Strategi pembentukan karakter islami dan berwawasan multikultural dilakukan melalui hidden curriculum dan written curriculum dengan mengimplementasikannya ke dalam kegiatan Intrakurikuler (mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam), kegiatan intrakurikuler (pembiasaan melalui Islamic and Qur’anic Programme dan Nationalisme and Patriotisme Programme), serta kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Karakter islami yang dibentuk lebih mengarahkan kepada nilai illahiyyah sedangkan nilai-nilai multikultural yang ditanamkan yaitu toleransi, keadilan, dan demokrasi. Adapun faktor pendukungnya dari internal berupa program sekolah, sarana dan prasarana sekolah, serta sekolah yang memberikan ruang kepada siswa, kedewasaan siswa, rasa keingintahuan siswa, sikap keterbukaan siswa. Sedangkan fakor eksternalnya berupa level pendidikan orang tua yang tinggi. Kemudian faktor penghambat dari internal berupa sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh dan faktor penghambat dari eksternal berupa pengaruh lingkungan. Kata Kunci : Sekolah, Karakter Islami, Wawasan Multikultural This research is motivated by the phenomenon of Indonesia as a Muslim-majority country which should have Islamic values so that Islamic character will be formed in Muslim society and the diversity that Indonesia has, but there are many Indonesians who have not been able to maintain Indonesia's diversity and its country's identity as a Muslim-majority country. Education is considered capable of overcoming these problems through the school curriculum. So that the purpose of this research is to find out the strategies that schools as educational institutions do in forming students with Islamic characters with a multicultural perspective, then the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the formation of Islamic characters and multicultural insight. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. This research was conducted at SMA Bakti Mulya 400. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation study. The theory used in this research is strategy theory, school, Islamic character, and multicultural education. The results of research conducted at SMA Bakti Mulya 400 show that the strategy of forming Islamic character with a multicultural perspective is carried out through a hidden curriculum and a written curriculum by implementing it in intracurricular activities (Islamic religious education subjects), intracurricular activities (habituation through the Islamic and Qur'anic Program and Nationalism and Patriotism Program, as well as extracurricular activities. The Islamic character that is formed is more directed towards illahiyyah while the multicultural values instilled are tolerance, justice, and democracy. The supporting factors from internally are school programs, school facilities and infrastructure, and schools. which gives space to students, student maturity, a sense of student curiosity, openness attitude of students. While the external factor is a high level of parental education. Then the internal inhibiting factor is the distance learning system and n external inhibiting factor in the form of environmental influences.
