Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan deskripsi secara jelas tentang wujud nilai motivasi yang terdapat dalam novel “Laskar Pelangi” karya Andrea Hirata. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Focus penelitian ini mengenai nilai motivasi dalam novel “Laskar Pelangi” karya Andrea Hirata. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dengan dibantu oleh tabel klasifikasi tentang nilai motiavasi berdasarkan bentuknya. Peneliti merangkum tiga teori motivasi, yaitu teori Abraham Maslow, teori McCleland, dan teori Herzberg. Motivasi dari teori Abraham Maslow muncul dalam dua puluh dua 22 data, terdiri dari 4 jenis motivasi : kebutuhan rasa aman terdapat 5 data, kebutuhan akan cinta dan rasa memiliki terdapat 7 data, kebutuhan penghargaan terdapat 4 data, dan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri terdapat 6 data. Dan motivasi dari teori McCleland muncul dalam lima (5) data, yaitu kebutuhan untuk berprestasi (Achieve). Motivasi dari teori Herberg muncul dalam sembilan belas 19 data, yang terdiri dari dua jenis motivasi, yaitu motivasi internal dengan 7 data, dan motivasi eksternal dengan 12 data. *********** This study aims to obtain a clear description of the form of motivational values contained in the novel "Laskar Pelangi" by Andrea Hirata. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with content analysis method. The focus of this research is on the value of motivation in the novel “Laskar Pelangi” by Andrea Hirata. The research instrument is the researcher himself, assisted by a classification table on the value of motivation based on its shape. The researcher summarizes three theories of motivation, namely Abraham Maslow's theory, McCleland's theory, and Herzberg's theory. Motivation from Abraham Maslow's theory appears in twenty-two 22 data, consisting of 4 types of motivation: the need for security is present 5 data, the need for love and belonging is present 7 data, the need for esteem is found 4 data, and the need for self-actualization there are 6 data. And the motivation of McCleland's theory appears in five (5) data, namely the need for achievement (Achieve). Motivation from Herberg's theory appears in nineteen 19 data, which consists of two types of motivation, namely internal motivation with 7 data, and external motivation with 12 data
