Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan data yang akurat tentang teknik pola tabuh Gender Wayang Bali, sebagai salah satu upaya pelestarian musik tradisional Indonesia. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Tempat penelitian dilakukan di perumahan daerah cipayung, Jakarta timur dan jurusan Seni Karawitan ISI Surakarta. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan desember. Objek penelitian adalah alat musik instrumen Gender Wayang. Data yang dikumpulkan berdasarkan hasil dari observasi lapangan, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil Penelitian Gender Wayang memiliki tahapan dalam teknik pola tabuh. Teknik pola tabuh tersebut yaitu sikap posisi duduk terdiri dari 3, teknik memegang panggul, teknik memukul dan menutup bilah, teknik memukul dengan posisi tangan serong, teknik pukulan gender wayang terdiri dari 9, dan pola tabuhan gender wayang yang terdapat 6 pola. Dari tahapan teknik pola tabuh tersebut masing-masing terdapat peran nya tersendiri, sehingga pemain gender mendapatkan kenyamanan dan hasil pukulan yang indah didengar. Karena jika tidak mengikuti tahapan teknik pola tabuh tersebut tentu akan berbeda hasilnya pada setiap pelaku yang menjalankannya. The purpose of this study was to obtain accurate data on the Balinese Gender Wayang percussion pattern technique, as an effort to preserve Indonesian traditional music. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The research was conducted in the Cipayung residential area, East Jakarta and the Department of Karawitan Arts, ISI Surakarta. The time of the study was carried out in December. The object of research is the Gender Wayang musical instrument. The data collected is based on the results of field observations, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The validity of the data using triangulation. Research Results Gender Wayang has stages in the technique of percussion patterns. The technique of the percussion pattern is the sitting position consisting of 3, the technique of holding the pelvis, the technique of hitting and closing the blade, the technique of hitting with an oblique hand position, the technique of hitting the gender of the wayang consists of 9, and the pattern of the beat of the wayang gender which has 6 patterns. From the stages of the technique of the percussion pattern, each has its own role, so that gender players get comfortable and beautiful strokes to hear. Because if you don't follow the stages of the percussion technique, the results will be different for each actor who runs it.
