Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh adversity quotient terhadap komitmen organisasi anggota Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan skala adversity quotient dan Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) oleh Mowday, dkk (1979). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan uji hipotesis analisis regresi sederhana. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling, yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 251 orang responden yang merupakan mahasiswa anggota aktif organisasi BEM di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan adversity quotient memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap komitmen organisasi dengan nilai F hitung 76,968 lebih besar > dari F tabel 3,89. Nilai signifikansi (p) yaitu 0,000 lebih kecil dari nilai koefisien alpha (α = 0,05). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh antara adversity quotient terhadap komitmen organisasi anggota BEM di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Pengaruh adversity quotient terhadap komitmen organisasi pada penelitian ini sebesar 23,6% sedangkan sisanya (76,4%) dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of adversity quotient on organizational commitment members of Student Executive Council in State University of Jakarta. This research use adversity quotient scale and Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) by Mowday, et al (1979) as the instrument in this research. Quantitative approach is used as the research method and analysed using simple regression analysis. The sample was conducted by the purposive sampling. The subject of this research is 251 active members of Student Executive Council in State University of Jakarta. Based on simple regression analysis results showed that adversity quotient has a positive effect on organizational commitment with the F value = 76,968 is greater than > F table 3,89 with a significance value (p) is 0.000 less than < alpha coefficient value (α) 0.05. Thus, it can conclude that Ho was rejected, which means that there is an effect of adversity quotient on organizational commitment active members of Student Executive Council in State University of Jakarta. Adversity quotient affecting organizational commitment in this study by 23,6% while the rest (76,4%) is affected by other variables beyond this research.
