Abstract

Perilaku manusia menjadi penentu utama dalam permasalahan lingkungan. Untuk mengurangi kerusakan lingkungan, perlu mewujudkan perilaku tanggung jawab lingkungan sejak dini. perilaku tanggung jawab lingkungan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, seperti locus of control dan big-five personality. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya peran big-five personality sebagai mediator antara locus of control dengan responsible environmental behavior. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 14 Jakarta pada pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei yang bersifat kausal dan dianalisis dengan analisis jalur. Dari hasil penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa locus of control berpengaruh langsung terhadap big-five personality secara signifikan, big-five personality berpengaruh langsung terhadap responsible environmental behavior secara signifikan, locus of control berpengaruh langsung terhadap responsible environmental behavior secara signifikan, dan locus of control berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap responsible environmental behavior melalui big-five personality. Sehingga big-five personality dapat menjadi mediator antara locus of control dengan responsible environmental behavior peserta didik. Kata kunci : analisis jalur, locus of control, big-five personality, responsible environmental behavior, peserta didik Human behavior is the main determinant in environmental problems. To reduce environmental damage, it is necessary to realize responsible environmental behavior from an early age. Responsible environmental behavior is influenced by several factors, such as locus of control and big-five personality. Therefore, this study aims to determine the role of the big-five personality as a mediator between locus of control and responsible environmental behavior. The research was carried out at SMAN 14 Jakarta in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The method used is a survey method through causal studies and analyzed by path analysis. From the results of this study, it shows that locus of control has a direct effect on the big-five personality significantly, the big-five personality has a direct effect on responsible environmental behavior significantly, locus of control has a direct effect on responsible environmental behavior significantly, and locus of control has an indirect effect on responsible environmental behavior through the big-five personality. So that the big-five personality can be a mediator between the locus of control and the responsible environmental behavior of students.
