Abstract

Minat adalah suatu rasa suka dengan tingkat yang lebih dan rasa ketertarikan pada suatu hal atau aktivitas yang muncul dari dalam diri tanpa ada paksaan dari siapapun. Minat siswa timbul terhadap suatu kegiatan dipengaruhi oleh suatu sebab atau faktor. Berbagai faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi minat siswa untuk mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga diantaranya faktor yang berasal dari dalam diri sendiri maupun faktor yang berasal dari luar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat minat siswa terhadap kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga di SMP Negeri 1 Jatibarang, kabupaten Indramayu. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Jatibarang tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Adapun sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa dari kelas VIII. Pemilihan sampel penelitian dilakukan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan diperoleh minat siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga di SMPN 1 Jatibarang dengan frekuensi terbesar berada pada minat sedang yang berjumlah 63 siswa dengan presentase 36%, diikuti minat ekstrakurikuler olahraga rendah yang berjumlah 53 siswa dengan presentase 31%, minat ekstrakurikuler olahraga tinggi dengan jumlah 10 siswa dengan presentase 22%, minat ekstrakurikuler olahraga sangat rendah dengan jumlah 11 siswa dengan presentase 6%, dan minat ekstrakurikuler olahraga sangat tinggi dengan jumlah siswa hanya 8 siswa dengan presentase 5%. Interest is a feeling of liking with a higher level and a sense of interest in a thing or activity that arises from within without any coercion from anyone. The emergence of student interest in an activity is influenced by a cause or factor. Various factors that can influence students' interest in participating in sports extracurricular activities include factors that come from within themselves and factors that come from outside. This study aims to determine the level of student interest in sports extracurricular activities at SMP Negeri 1 Jatibarang, Indramayu district. The research design used in this research is a descriptive quantitative survey method with data collection techniques using questionnaires. The population in this study were students at SMP Negeri 1 Jatibarang for the academic year 2021/2022. The samples of this study were students from class VIII. The research sample was selected using a simple random sampling technique. The results showed that students' interest in participating in sports extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Jatibarang with the greatest frequency was in moderate interest, which amounted to 63 students with a percentage of 36%, followed by low sports extracurricular interest which amounted to 53 students with a percentage of 31%, high interest in extracurricular sports with a percentage of 36%. the number of 10 students with a percentage of 22%, interest in extracurricular sports is very low with a total of 11 students with a percentage of 6%, and interest in extracurricular sports is very high with the number of students only 8 students with a percentage of 5%.
