Abstract

Tujuan dari penelian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kebutuhan tokoh Hertzko Haft dalam novel grafis "Der Boxer" karya Reinhard Kleist. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman dan menggunakan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel grafis "Der Boxer" karya Reinhard Kleist. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah dialog, monolog, dan narasi, serta gambar (panel) di dalam novel grafis "Der Boxer" yang menggambarkan kebutuhan tokoh Hertzko Haft. Fokus penelitian ini adalah kebutuhan tokoh Hertzko Haft di dalam novel grafis "Der Boxer" (kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan akan rasa aman, kebutuhan akan cinta dan memiliki, kebutuhan akan penghargaan, kebutuhan akan aktualisasi diri). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 28 data yang menunjukkan kebutuhan dasar Hertzko Haft. Kebutuhan fisiologis ditemukan sebanyak 4 data, kebutuhan akan rasa aman ditemukan sebanyak 10 data, kebutuhan akan cinta dan memiliki ditemukan sebanyak 11 data, dan kebutuhan akan penghargaan ditemukan sebanyak 3 data. Data yang mengacu pada aktualisasi diri tidak ditemukan di dalam novel grafis "Der Boxer". Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari lima kebutuhan dasar, Hertzko Haft telah memenuhi empat kebutuhan dasarnya, dan kebutuhan akan cinta dan memiliki adalah kebutuhan Haft yang paling mendominasi. Hal tersebut terjadi karena di dalam novel grafis "Der Boxer" terdapat banyak situasi yang menggambarkan kebutuhan Haft untuk memiliki hubungan yang saling menyayangi, menghargai, dan mempercayai dengan orang-orang di sekitarnya dan kebutuhan Haft untuk memiliki pasangan. The purpose of this study is to describe the needs of the character Hertzko Haft in the graphic novel „Der Boxer“ by Reinhard Kleist. This research is qualitative research using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman and uses a study of psychology in literature. The data source in this research is the graphic novel "Der Boxer" by Reinhard Kleist. The data in this study are dialogues, monologues, and narrations, as well as pictures (panels) in the graphic novel "Der Boxer" that describe the needs of Hertzko Haft. The focus of this research is the needs of Hertzko Haft in the graphic novel „Der Boxer“ (physiological needs, security needs, needs for love and belonging, needs for esteem, needs for self-actualization). The results showed that 28 data indicating the basic needs of Hertzko Haft. The physiological needs were found as many as 4 data, the security needs were found as many as 10 data, the needs for love and belonging were found as many as 11 data, and the need for esteem were found as many as 3 data. Data referring to self-actualization was not found in the graphic novel "Der Boxer". Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that of the five basic needs, Hertzko Haft has fulfilled four of them, and the needs for love and belonging are Haft's most dominating needs. This happens because in the graphic novel "Der Boxer", many situations describe Haft's need to have a loving, respectful, and trusting relationship with the people around him, as well as Haft's need to have a partner.
