Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui komposisi lagu Gayatri karya Bagusm Satrio Utomo yang digunakan dalam paduan suara yang mencakup irama, melodi, harmoni, bentuk, dan penggunaan tanda dinamik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dimana hasil analisis lagu disajikan secara narasi. Objek penelitian adalah partitur lagu Gayatri karya Bagus Satrio Utomo. Analisis lagu ditinjau dari irama, melodi, harmoni, bentuk, dan penggunaan tanda dinamik. Dalam pengumpulan data dilengkapi dengan studi kepustakaan, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah peneliti sendiri. Waktu penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 12 bulan, sejak Januari - Desember 2021, bertempat di kediaman rumah peneliti. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu Reduksi Data, Penyajian Data, dan Kesimpulan. Dalam uji keabsahan data menggunakan Teknik Triangulasi yang dilakukan dengan pencipta lagu Gayatri. Hasil analisis lagu Gayatri karya Bagus Satrio Utomo menunjukkan penggunaan ad libitum untuk irama; sedangkan gaya melodi menggunakan 8 motif. Hasil analisis harmoni menunjukkan penggunaan berbagai akor seperti mayot, minor, chord extension, altered chord, dan suspended chord; sedangkan bentuk lagu adalah fantasia. Penggunaan tanda dinamik yang cukup lengkap menguatkan interpretasi lagu yang menggambarkan mantra agama Hindu. Hasil analisis interpretasi juga menunjukkan bahwa lagu Gayatri karya Bagus Satrio Utomo termasuk dalam klasifikasi musik sakral dengan penggunaan produksi suara spoken or speaking with rhythmic indications only dan menggunakan ritmis kecak Bali. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of the Gayatri song by Bagus Satrio Utomo used in the chorus which includes rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and the use of dynamic signs. The research method used s descriptive qualitative research method, where the result of song analysis are presented in a narrative manner. The object of the research is the score of the Gayatri song by Bagus Satrio Utomo. Song analysis is viewed from rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and use of dynamic signs. In collecting data, it is equipped with literature study, interviews, and documentation studies. The instument used is the researcher himself. The time of this research was carried out for 12 months, from January to December 2021, at the residence of the researcher. While the data analysis techniques used are Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Conclusions. In testing the validity of the data using the Triangulation Technique which was carried out with the songwriter Gayatri. The results of the analysis of the song Gayatri by Bagus Satrio Utomo show the use of ad libitum for rhythm; while the melodic style uses 8 motifs. The result of the harmony analysis show the use of various chords such as major, minor, chord extension, altered chord, and suspended chord; while the form of the song is fantasia. The use of dynamic signs that are quite complete strengthen the interpretation of songs that describe Hindu religious mantras. The result of the interpretation analysis also show that the Gayatri song by Bagus Satrio Utomo is included in the classification of sacred music by using spoken or speaking sound production with rhythmic indications only and using Balinese kecak rhythmic.
