Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan penerapan metode edutainment dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar PAI siswa kelas XI MIPA-5 SMA Negeri 68 Jakarta Pusat. Indikator siswa termotivasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan teori Sardiman, Nana Sudjana, dan Hamzah B Uno. Dari tiga tokoh tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa yang memiliki ciri-ciri motivasi tinggi adalah tekun dan ulet dalam menghadapi tugas, menunjukkan minat dan perhatian terhadap pelajaran, semangat dan adanya hasrat untuk berhasil, adanya dorongan dan kebutuhan dalam belajar serta adanya kegiatan yang menarik dalam belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Classroom Action Research (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Tahap penelitian ini mengikuti model Kurt Lewin yaitu berupa suatu siklus spiral yang meliputi kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak tiga siklus dengan satu kali pertemuan disetiap siklusnya. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode edutainment dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar PAI. Hal tersebut dapat diketahui dari pengamatan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran PAI dengan menggunakan metode edutainment. Siswa cenderung lebih aktif, dan antusias mengikuti pelajaran PAI. Sebelum diterapkannya metode edutainment, guru yang berperan aktif sedangkan siswa cenderung pasif serta motivasi siswa dibawah standar yaitu hanya 28 % siswa yang termotivasi dari 25 siswa. Dari tiga siklus yang telah dilakukan, dapat dilihat bahwa motivasi siswa belajar PAI mengalami peningkatan, pada siklus I sebesar 48 %, pada siklus II sebesar 72 %, dan pada siklus III sebesar 84 % dari 25 siswa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi siswa belajar PAI selama tiga siklus mengalami peningkatan. The purpose of this research is to describe the application of the edutainment method which aims at improving learning motivation of the PAI students, class MIPA-5 SMA Negeri 68 Center Jakarta. The motivation concept in this research is formulated based on theories of Sardiman, Nana Sudjana, and Hamzah B Uno. It is understood that students who have the characteristics of high motivation are diligent and tenacious in the face of the tasks, showing interest and attention to the lessons, expressing being spirit and are driven to succeed, demonstrating spirit and needs in learning, and the presence of interesting activities in learning . This research is a Classroom Action Research that uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This research phase follows the model of Kurt Lewin in the form of a spiral cycle that includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection technique of this research uses observation, interview and documentation. This study was conducted with three cycles with one meeting in each cycle. The results of the research that has been conducted shows that the application of the edutainment method can improve learning motivation for Islamic Education. It can be known from some observation of student activity in the learning process by using the method of edutainment. Students tend to be more active, and enthusiastic following PAI lesson. Prior to the implementation of this learning by using the method of edutainment, the teacher plays an active role, while students tend to be passive and condition of students motivation below standard that is only 28% of the students who are motivated out of 25 students. Of the three cycles has been conducted, it can be seen that the students motivation to learn Islamic Education increases, in the first cycle of 48%, in the second cycle of 72%, and in the third cycle of 84% of 25 students. It can be concluded that students motivation to learn PAI for three cycles has increased.
