Abstract
The aim of this study is adapting the measuring instrument of M5- PS-35 personalities Questionnaire in preschoolers into Indonesian version and testing the quality of psychometric properties. The sample in this study are 387 preschool children aged 3-6 years who attend from the Public kindergarten in Jakarta. This study has been used the probability sampling that is type of cluster sampling. Collecting data is using the Likert scale questionnaire form. This study has been adapted the measuring instrument of M5-PS-35 Questionnaire based on the theory of the five personality factors that are consisting of Five Factor Model (FFM) (Grist & Mc.Cord 2010) into Indonesian. Analysis of data have been used the estimates of construct validity with factor analysis and reliability that has been used of Cronbach alpha formula with SPSS Windows Version 16. The results showed that the M5-PS-35 Questionnaire adaptation version produces a number of factors in common with the original version, but had different items with the original version because of the factor analysis. The difference is caused by the differences in language and culture. The average value of load factor (factor loading) to 30 item M5-PS-35 Questionnaire greater than 0.298 and reliability of each factor is N = 0.482, E = 0.787, O = 0.252, A = 0.757, C = 0.844 and berstratanya cronbach alpha of 0.85. Therefore it can be said M5-PS-35 Questionnaire have construct validity and reliability was good.
