Abstract

Dunia global mengharuskan kita lebih memahami dan mencari sumber ilmu yang lebih baik. Ensiklopedi sudah lama digunakan untuk berbagi ilmu dan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisa tipe proses dan move dari entri ensiklopedia. Data terdiri dari 234 klausul dari 10 entri hewan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada Ahli Bahasa Linguistik Fungsional Halliday. Data dikumpulkan dengan memilih entri dan memecah setiap entri ke dalam klausa. Setiap klausa adalah spesial, dapat berisi informasi penting yang berkaitan dengan konteks. Sementara ditransfer ke move, dua atau lebih klausa bisa saling terkait. Setiap move memiliki atribut fungsi yang berbeda. Fungsinya untuk membagi setiap informasi penting di dalam klausa. Move diidentifikasi dari pecahan klausa dengan memilih rincian tiap klausa dimana klausa yang mendekati kemiripan identitas. Move ini memberikan arah yang penting dalam penelitian serta kesimpulan yang menentukan hasil dari penelitian ini. Hasil akhir didapat dari (1) kelompok dari klausa yang sudah didapat dari pecahan tiap klausa, (2) klasifikasi dari tiap klausa menjadi tipe dari move set, dan (3) memberikian rincian informasi dari tiap-tiap move set. (4) Mengevaluasi tiap-tiap tipe proses. Kesimpulan dari studi ini adalah penentuan dari tiap-tiap move yang terintegrasi dengan tipe proses dengan menghasilkan persamaan dan perbedaan pada move. Global world requires us to understand better and seek better knowledge. Encyclopedia has been used for a long time to share knowledge and information. This study aimed to describe and analyze the process type and moves from encyclopedia entries. The data consist of 234 clauses from 10 different animal entries. This study based on Halliday’s Systematic Functional Linguists. The data was collected by selecting entries and breaking down every entry into clauses. Each clause is specials because the clause contains critical information related to the context. After transferred into moves, two or more clause can be related. Each move has different attribute of function where the function are used to divide critical information inside the clause. Moves were identified from clause break down by selecting each clause detail which is close to their similar identity. Those move set give important lead to this study and the conclusion which is determine result from this study. Result revealed that moves are (1) groups of detail version from each entry, (2) classification of each entry into their type of moves, and (3) giving detail information from each moves. (4) Evaluating each process types. Conclusions from this study are determination from each integrated move with the process types that resulting similarities and differences in the moves.
