Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman serta keterampilan melalui pelatihan pembuatan paper quilling untuk meningkatkan life skill pada ibu-ibu PKK RW 04 Kelurahan Jatiraden, Kecamatan Jatisampurna, Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen one group, pretest-posttest, dimana subjeknya adalah ibu-ibu PKK RW 04, Kelurahan Jatiraden, Kecamatan Jatisampurna, Bekasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 orang dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Adapun jumlah sampel yang diteliti yakni sebanyak 10 orang. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan instrumen angket, observasi, dan tes hasil (pretest-posttest). Instrumen ini telah di uji coba sebelumnya melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas, untuk mengetahui keabsahan data. Hasil pelatihan pembuatan paper quilling untuk meningkatkan life skill dilakukan melalui tes hasil yaitu pre test dan post test, dimana diperoleh nilai uji pengetahuan dan pemahaman pada pre test 10 orang responden dari 25 item soal memperoleh nilai rata-rata 5,12 dan post test memperoleh nilai rata-rata 7,96. Mengalami kenaikan nilai rata-rata sebesar 2,84 sesudah peserta pelatihan diberikan treatment pelatihan pembuatan paper quilling. Analisa berdasarkan hasil Uji-t diperoleh nilai thitung 7,434 > ttabel 1,734 sehingga penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pemahaman tentang life skill pembuatan paper quilling, karena H1 : μa > μb artinya berhasil. Hal ini berarti bahwa tujuan dari penelitian ini telah “tercapai”. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik dari penelitian ini bahwa ibu-ibu PKK RW 04 mempunyai life skill dalam pembuatan paper quilling untuk dapat memanfaatkan paper quilling menjadi barang yang memiliki nilai jual. This instrument has been tested previously by the validity and reliability, to determine the validity of the data. The results of making paper quilling to improving the life skills was obtained through test results. Those are pretest and posttest, which the writer obtained the knowledge and understanding values of 10 respondents. They had pretest of 25 items question, and acquired an average value of 5.12. and in posttest they obtained an average value of 7.96. Clearly the values increased on average by 2.84 after the trainees were given treatment of the training of making paper quilling. The analysis of related t-test results, it was obtained that tcount 7.434 > 1.734 ttable, so this study can be concluded means succeed is achieved, because there is a growing understanding of life skill knowledge making paper quilling. This means that the objective of this research has been “achieved”. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research that the mothers PKK RW 04 have life skill in making paper quilling to be able to utilize paper quilling into goods that have a value.
