Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana analisis strength/kekuatan, Weakness/kelemahan, Opportunity/peluang, dan Threat/ancaman (SWOT) Museum Linggarjati sebagai sarana wisata edukasi di Kabupaten Kuningan Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 3 (tiga) bulan terhitung pada bulan Mei - Juli 2017. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik non probability dengan purposive sampling yaitu teknik penentuan sampel berdasarkan pertimbangan tertentu yang dikehendaki oleh peneliti. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berasal dari populasi pengunjung Museum Linggarjati berjumlah 80 0rang. Sampel diminta menjawab butir-butir soal pernyataan dengan pilihan jawaban “setuju” atau “tidak setuju” dari kuesioner tentang analisis SWOT Museum Linggarjati sebagai sarana wisata edukasi. Hasil penelitian analisis SWOT pada Museum Linggarjati menunjukan hasil sebagai berikut: Kekuatan yang dimiliki Museum Linggarjat ilebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelemahan yang dimiliki. Terbukti dengan persentase kekuatan Museum Linggarjati mencapai 91%, sedangkan kelemahan Museum Linggarjati hanya mencapai persentase 60%. Artinya hampir semua responden setuju menyatakan bahwa Museum Linggarjati memiliki kekuatan berupa dokumentasi-dokumentasi sejarah yang yang sangat penting bagi Bangsa Indonesia, terdapat taman yang indah, letaknya yang strategis, akses jalan yang bagus, dan parkiran yang luas. iv Peluang yang dimiliki Museum Linggarjati lebih besar dibandingkan ancaman yang dimiliki .Terbukti dengan persentase peluang Museum Linggarjati mencapai 74%, sedangkan ancaman Museum Linggarjati hanya mencapai persentase 59%. Artinya hamper semua responden setuju menyatakan bahwa Museum Linggarjati memiliki peluang berupa sumber wisata sejarah Bangsa Indonesia yang potensial untuk dikembangkan, berpeluang untuk dikembangkan sebagai obyek wisata edukasi untuk keluarga, dan opini positif dari wisatawan kepada orang lain tentang Museum Linggarjati. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini terungkap bahwa Museum Linggarjati mempunyai kekuatan yang sangat baik yang perlu untuk dipertahankan dan peluang yang tinggi agar lebih dimanfaatkan, akan tetapi Museum Linggarjati masih memiliki kelemahan yang harus diperbaiki dan ancaman yang harus diminimalisir. This research was conducted aiming to find out how the analysis of the strength, weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) Linggarjati Museum as a means of education in the District of Kuningan West Java province. This research was conducted during 3 (three) months in May-July 2017. The methods used in this research is descriptive research with quantitative approach. Sampling techniques in the study are using the technique of purposive sampling non probability with namely determination of samples based on the desired specific consideration by researchers. The sample in this study comes from a population of visitors Museum Linggarjati with sample totaled 80 outsiders.Respondents were asked to answer a grain statement questions with a choice answers agree or disagree from a questionnaire about SWOT analysis Linggarjati Museum as a means of education. The research results of SWOT analysis on Museum Linggarjati showed the following results: powers Museum Linggarjati greater than the drawbacks. As evidenced by the percentage of strength of the Museum reaches 91% Linggarjati, while the weakness of the Museum Linggarjati ii reaching only 60% percentage. This means that almost all respondents agreed, stating that the Museum Linggarjati has the power in the form of historical documentation-documentation which is very important for the people of Indonesia, there are beautiful gardens, its strategic location, good road access, and a spacious parking. Opportunities owned Museum Linggarjati greater than the threat. Proven by the percentage chance of reaching 74%. Linggarjati Museum, while the threat of Museum Linggarjati reached only 59% percentage.This means that almost all respondents agreed, stating that the Museum has opportunities in the form of Linggarjati historical tourism source Nation Indonesia a potential to be developed, likely to be developed as a tourist attraction for the family, education and positive opinion of tourists to others about Linggarjati Museum. Based on the results of this study revealed that the Museum Linggarjati excellent power that needs to be maintained and the odds are high enough to be utilized, but the Museum still has weaknesses Linggarjati must be repaired and the threat that has to be minimised
